I've been looking at that monitor myself.
It gets a rave review here:

and here...
I'm reading this thread because I want to buy a monitor for a bedroom pc so mainly TV/movies perhaps some gaming.
You guys are certainly adamant that your own monitor is the best choice but I (and probably the op) are left none the wiser.
And then there's the IPS/PVA/TN argument. I'm sat in...
Meanwhile-Thanks very much that's exactly what I needed to visualise the difference, excellent help:D
Nascasho- Thanks for the pictures you've posted. Each one is drawing me toward the NEC and away from a Samsung SM2494HM which (with the Dell SP2309W) I've narrowed it down to.
Probably the...
And that's a "25" Samsung Nascasho? Is it 16.9 or 16.10?
I've been worried that it will seem much smaller than my current 24" 16.10 Dell but, whilst obviously smaller it doesn't look tiny beside it in your pics.
What's your impression? Cheers, John:)
Thanks for the response guys. I take all your points.
My main monitor is a Dell 2408WFP which I've got paired with my new(ish) build of a high spec ocd i7 920 rig.

I've tried selling it locally and no one wants that kind of pc. I don't know...
Has anyone got any opinions on this monitor. I cannot find a review anywhere.
I'm considering it for a bedroom media pc setup, so movies/tv/gaming plus some general browsing via a remote keyboard and the magnifier.
I shall be about 8 feet away from it most of the time.
LG panels have a good...
Ok. Thanks Zero82z and WorldExclusive and Hoofan_1.
I think I was just seeking reassurance in one of those moments of doubt when I thought I'd made a bad purchasing decision.
The case- Cooler Master ATCS 840- and the Be Quiet! PSU have arrived and it is as you say Zero.
It does mount upside...
Thanks for the reply HOOfan_1.
I'll know soon cos it's arriving today but it's not clear from the reviews whether the fan is intake or exhaust.
Either way, if mounted with the fan uppermost as shown in reviews, it would either be exhausting hot air under the GPU or sucking in warm air from...
Thanks for the reply Danny.
Hope it works. I'm hoping to use it like this until I get my W7 retail disk then wipe Vista (maybe replace it in the dual boot with Ubuntu).
I can then re install Vista on my current (old) machine and sell it as a complete unit.
Thanks again, John:)
New Build- simple question(s)
Hi folks. Well with Windows 7 due to drop through my door this month I succumbed to tech addiction and what was gonna be an upgrade has turned into a new pc.
First I ordered this bundle:
*OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz @ 4.00GHz Max...
