Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
If I recall, the same SandForce controller was fine with other suppliers once they upgraded the FW. I think OCZ had more manufacturing issues than the others.
Just in case you guys missed what happened on reddit, here is a link where questions about ssd's are answered. Good info http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/27yvkm/rbuildapc_i_recently_wrote_an_extensive_article/
I recently upgraded from the hdd to the kingston v300. I mainly use my sandforce ssd to run the os and other programs. It does just fine for my general purpose usage and i can see a world of difference.

canon Agreed!!! I personally own 520 120gb which is of SF based same controller as OCZ, If SF works fine in intel why not for OCZ??? Also I think OCZ failures are more because of OCZ's quality issues - it is well known for it, Any way my 520 i never had any kind of issues till now believe me...
SF had some reliability issues in the past, but guess its all resolved now. I use Intel 520 - it works just fine. I guess OCZ - has more of quality issues
I use SanDisk and Intel 520 SSD which comes with the sandforce controller. I have tried this several times in my test lab & trust me I never had any bad experience. Unless you do not have the latest firmwares, sandforce SSDs never put you into trouble.
Try for - $1,300 is MacBook Air territory. It’s Lenovo Yoga 13 with 8GB of RAM and 384GB SSD territory. It’s pretty-damn-good gaming. Hell, for $1,500 you can get a Lenovo X1 Carbon Touch or a 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina display.
