That's too bad, I have to say your symptoms don't seem to be the usual ones. I have had tempory freezes at times with IBT but it's a very demanding software and take most of the resources it can get a hold of when running. The freezes typically are only temporary a few seconds here and there or...
I see you have a lot of peripherals and RGB action. First I would disconnect anything you don't need to run the PC.
Have you installed AURA? It has been troublesome to date. I see they have released yet another version which might be worth a try if you're planning on using it. For me the ONLY...
Good that you sorted oit out. I would check on asus site with the serial number and see if the ROG board still has warranty.
In BIOS there's still a load on the CPU and as I remember the 4790K could be a hot CPU a lot would depend on what voltage the CPU is receiving on auto settings
That H60 runs off of a fan header correct? Do you have it connected to the AIO header on the CHVI ? That header will keep the pump running on high where others might not. If you get the missing CPU fan warning just disable it in BIOS in monitor section
I wouldn't worry too much about RB, It can be a mess at times. So many libraries need to be in line for it to work. If it's passing everything else I would chalk it up to a bad RB. Even on a clean OS it can be hard to get running at times.
Here's another hany and quick test. It's IBT but has...
If you're still at 4.0 I would suspect the CPU/cache as the culprit. Try using Prime 95 29.1 set to custom with 13000MB memory allocation. If you drop threads it's the memory. If BS/crash then cpu need more volts or less speed depending on thermals. For my 24/7 I'm pretty thorough for stability...
This is so true and not many have the patience or know how to work with a finicky kit of ram or should I say a kit the Ryzen IMC just doesn't like. I do a lot of benching so playing in BIOS is part of my hobby and I have good Samsung ram. I purposely bought the cheapest set of DDR4 3000 ( Team...
#1 yes but CPU might overheat and shut down
#2 no
If you never removed the cooler I can't see any reason the CPU could have "shifted" I just thought maybe you had bad contact on the pins
I was just curious since it seems odd that you cleaned it out and now it doesn't work. As if something is loose. You said you removed the CMOS jumper. Do you mean "moved" it to pins 2 and 3? That motherboard has a feature called USB BIOS flashback with might be worth a shot as well. You can...
I have a guide here for anyone interested in installing Win7 on Ryzen http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php/781091-AMD-Ryzen-Win7-ISO-Guide
I find it odd that you couldn't install with a PS/2 port. I did one on an MSI SLI PLUS and went just fine using only the mouse. Used the...
