Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Nice system. I'm running 4 6174's myself. Just one note to mention, if you're talking of putting it in a HAF, you might need to drill and tap some holes for a few standoffs. In a HAF-932, I could just barely squeeze my board in, at first glance I thought I might have to mount the PSU in the...
I'm not even from this team, but can say I would be totally lost without Kraken. Actually I would be lost without this team in general, you guys are very helpful to the F@H community. When I set my 4P up, I used Musky's guide, and when I installed Kraken, my times drastically improved and I...
Congratz Grandpa, I built the same system you did a few days ago lol. Bought same chips from same vendor, LA Micro. That guy ships same day, very good seller. I'm temporarily running CAS-9, waiting on my new CAS-7 memory. With Ubuntu 10.10 and Kraken, it averages 290-300K on p6900 even with the...
Yep using a passkey, same one I run on other machines. I've deleted the WU folder and the queue file. I'm getting nonstop 6900's and doing 6:30 TPF, so still great points. Honestly it's very possible it's bad luck I think.
I tried changing from -bigadv to -bigbeta flag about 5 or 6 days ago but still kept getting 6900. I originally had a 2p setup and ran it maybe 10 days w/ no luck. Now as a 4p I think I've had it going 5 days maybe. I'll try the -smp 48 and see what happens. I really just wanted to know if there...
I recently built a 4p dodeca 6174 and have just gotten it fully functional. The problem is I've been running it several days and am only getting 6900's, no 6903/04's. Though I'm still happy with 300K PPD, I would LOVE to get more lol. I must be doing something wrong.
Currently I'm running...
Just wanted to say thanks for this guide Musky. I've used it for all my machines, including my 2p dodeca, which I'm upgrading tomorrow to a 4p 6174. Also thanks to Tear for Kraken and Langouste, both are friggin lifesavers.
Actually I think what I might have gotten confused about was the "ES" chips, I guess that's engineering samples? This is my first plunge into server equipment and I had always thought OCing servers in general was uncommon to begin with. Well I appreciate your clearing that up guys, thanks.
Hi guys, I've built a 2p g34 folding system that I want to OC, and I know if anyone has the answers it's you . I've seen several mentions and screenshots of OC's here on these forums and I suppose I took for granted it would be easier.
I'm running 2x 6174 on a Tyan S8230GM4NR and I only found...
I'm a total noob here but I've built a 2p folding machine and will likely end up upgrading it to a 4p later. I'm running 2 6174s on a Tyan S8230 and I'm wondering how you guys are OCing these things. Seeing as to how I located nothing in the BIOS, I got to looking around and saw some screenshots...
