    PSU Recommendations for QPack2 Case

I am interested in the same info. Patiently waiting for a reply. Wouldn't mind a low-profile i5 cooler recommendation as well.

Nvidia vs Ati -- aspect ratio scaling

I've been looking at the monitor threads for weeks now in anticipation of buying a new monitor. However, it seems several of the LCD's I am looking at don't do scaling of an input signal that is not equal to the native resolution of the monitor (ie, taking a 1024x768 signal and scaling it up...

    New Viewsonic VX2435wm 24" Monitor

Thanks Cong. So it seems that the scaler in the LG is pretty good. Must be to get decent image quality when upscaling a 5:4 resolution (1280x1024) to panel size. I would have thought such a transformation would have distorted things a whole lot. Good info to know!

Problem with panel alignment with Dell 2407WFP-HC

Did I read your post as saying the 2407wfp-hc is made by BenQ??? Would this give us some insight as to whether this thing has an A-MVA/P-MVA panel as opposed to a Samsung S-PVA? Why would BenQ got get an s-pva from samsung to make this for Dell when they have access to the MVA panels in their...

    New Viewsonic VX2435wm 24" Monitor

LittleHorus and Conghelach, thank you for all of your information. Very helpful. @LittleHorus: From what I've gathered from your posts, if I've got my computer hooked up via DVI-->HMDI then when I used a 4:3 ratio resolution (1024x768) or 5:4 ratio resolution (1280x1024) the monitor can...

    Dell 2407WFP-HC is available now

Thanks machineguy. Maybe you could snap a pic of the service menu for us to take a gander at. I was unaware that panel info was now hidden. If you post a pic of the service menu, maybe someone in the community can help us figure things out. Jingra

@machineguy -- could you go into your service menu and post what panel is reported there?

    Panel used in new 2407wfp-HC?

My apologies bootstrap. I knew the current BenQ and LG monitors were not wide-gamut displays. My question stems from the fact that AUO is the only panel maker that currently lists a wide-gamut 24" panel on their website (as far as I know) and it is an A-MVA type panel...

    Panel used in new 2407wfp-HC?

Has anyone found out, with certainty, the panel Dell is using in the new wide-gamut 2407wfp-HC? Speculation is that is the same AUO P-MVA or A-MVA that is in the BenQ and LG 24" monitors b/c Samsung doesn't list a wide-gamut 24" panel. But I have not found anyone yet that definitely knows what...

    Dell 2407WFP-HC is available now

For some insane reason, I decided to give Dell a call today. I am really curious about the panel used in the 2407-HC, as I think it would be great if it was the AUO P-MVA used in the BenQ and LG 24" monitors (supposedly good color and less color shifting when looking straight on). So I got a...

    Dell 2407WFP-HC is available now

Has anyone been able to verify, accurately, the claim that the new 2407wfp-HC uses the AUO A-MVA panel? Besides cracking one open, how would one go about verifying this?

    New Viewsonic VX2435wm 24" Monitor

Thanks for the reply. If I may ask, how do things that run at 1280x1024 and 1024x768 look when they are stretched to widescreen or are kept at 1:1 (my understanding is that when using DVI/HDMI input from PC, you can only stretch or go 1:1)?

    New Viewsonic VX2435wm 24" Monitor

Any info you can provide is much appreciated. I am mostly interested in the aspect ratio control from computer (dvi --> hdmi), vga (future xbox360) and component (future hd cable). I know this monitor uses the same or similar panel as LG246 and BenQ F241W, so I believe the picture quality...
