Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I haven't done this in a while (I had to delete my ripped DVD-A's because I was running out of space), but if I remember right, I just used the command-line version of the FLAC encoder along with a GUI frontend.
Yeah, theres nothing like that for me in Vista. In XP, the sound drivers for my system have a control panel that lets me easily setup the digital and analog audio how I want, but nothing of the sort in Vista.
I used Foobar and hated it, for the same reason I hate the MediaLibrary of Winamp. I don't want some window taking up my entire desktop. I set Winamp to the windowshade mode, docked to the top edge of my screen, and hide all the other windows. I found a few similar plugins for Foobar but...
I'm having the same issue with an Nforce2 Soundstorm. I get the Dolby Digital encoding feature for everything, but when it comes time to passthrough DD or DTS, I get nothing.
I had this issue too, and it turns out its a bug if you have only 512 megs of ram. Then I found this fix and everything is working fine now.
From the Windows message boards:
What's so bad about using MediaPortal for videos? Ie, what is it lacking in? I use MediaPortal with the Dscaler MPEG2 decoder, and FFDShow for upscaling, and I wonder what exactly you mean by saying that Zoomplayer has features that MediaPortal is lacking.
Its possible but I wouldn't suggest it. I used to have a 9700 AIW, and I currently have a MyHD HDTV tuner that also has composite inputs. Basically, when playing games through this, there tends to be a slight delay of what you see on screen and when things are really happening in the game...
I guess I should add that I have a Shuttle SFF and need a card that only takes up one slot, so its the X1600 Pro, X850Pro, or the slightly more expensive XFX Geforce 7800GS. I'd prefer to spend as little as possible on what is surely going to be a temporary solution, but if its that big of a...
I also am looking for a new AGP card as a temporary stopgap (I'm going to wait for Vista, R600, and maybe Conroe or the AMD equivalent before I buy a completely new PC). I used to have a 9700 All in Wonder, but that died. I looked quickly, and it looks like the X1600 Pro is the best ATI card...
My question is basically this. Would the energy efficient version of the X2 3800 overclock better (because of reduced heat consumption and necessary voltages?) or worse than a standard X2 3800?
If you read the posts above yours, they're telling you to use the Windows recovery console, which is a bootable app on the windows disc. I had the same problem and was able to fix things fine, the hard drive still works fine. My problem happened because I lost power just as Windows was booting up.
Probably a stupid question, but if I get the PC ICE coolant, will I also need to add the anti-algal liquid that comes with my pump to it as well, or will nothing grow in it?
Theres a way, but it has to happen in real time. Also, I'm not sure if the files are still floating around the internet, but I did anticipate that and saved them a while ago. I tested out the process once, and it actually was a complete pain in the ass lol.
It requires WinDVD6 (I think 7...
I was thinking about using an HTPC as my only computer in a few months. I'll probably be pairing it with one of the new Westinghouse 37" 1080p (1920x 1080) monitors. My question is this. Will uses like internet browsing and instant messaging work well in this situation? The same goes for...
Yeah, its the USB port that I would like, for my flash drive, but I can deal. I see they priced their full systems at $3000, but have they actually released a price for the case? Thats the only thing that would prevent me from getting the case, if its too expensive.
