I noticed some strange blue sparkly artifacts on my desktop yesterday, so I installed the latest drivers but the problem didnt go away. As I was googling for solutions all the artifacts magically disappeared. However this morning, the artifacts came back.

So yeah... I get major fps drops in CSS and TF2. Started happening after I installed xp x64. Reformatted last night and it didn't help.
Could it be a harddrive problem? I've tried loads of different nvidia drivers so I doubt they're causing problems. The interesting thing is that the fps...
is the mobo gonna be limiting the oc too much to make it unable to hit 4ghz? or are you more likely to hit the cpu fsb limit? it would require 500 x 8 to hit 4ghz and I cant really see that happening on my p35-dq6 :(
I'm at 3.4Ghz w/ 1.36v. 9hours stable with Prime95, i couldnt be arsed running it more. Also the temps hit 47c after the said 9hours.
I could probs go higher.

I got 9k with the specs in my sig before overclocking. You're fine because the Vista drops the score quite a bit.

just tested with TAT and the workload level set to 100% ~~50-52
not oc'd yet.
CSS stress test i get around 330. Max gfx 4xaa 16xaf @1280x1024. In 5v5's it never drops below 100.
In crysis, max gfx apart from shaders and shadows on medium, I get anything...
Now my gpu is at 650/1505/1050. Max temp high 70's. Not too bad considering my case. I think I have to re-do the thermal paste because my cpu went up to 66c during Orthos :eek:
