NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I don't even know what a mofset is, so I'd be relying almost exclusively on YouTube videos for the installation. Do you think it's worth the gamble? I can't seem to find the Morpheus II for sale in Canada, so the Accelero III might be the only option.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Would the Morpheus 2 fit the NCASE M1 using slim Noctua fans (NF-A12-15)? If so, would this be preferable to the Accelero III/Noctua NF-F12 combo for cooling performance and noise? My current build is too noisy when gaming (EVGA 1080ti SC Black), and I have two extra slim fans, so the Morpheus 2...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

It now seems obvious that I misread the chart; the 95W TDP rating was for the i7-9700k. I'd still be interested in what others have to say about the OC potential for this CPU, if only to help me decide whether the k-version is worth the added cost. Yes, the right side of the bracket. This is...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

What is the OC potential with the Noctua U9S in a push/pull configuration (2-fans)? Could I get a respectable OC from the upcoming i9-9900k, or is that just wishful thinking? I believe the TDP will be 95W, which is the stated maximum for the cooler. Can anyone share their experience with OC'ing...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I'm planning a future build in the M1, with two 120mm intakes on the bottom, and a single 120mm intake on the side bracket. With so little clearance between the bottom intake and the GPU, which fan would work best -- Noctua NF-A12x15 (slim) or NF-A12x25 (regular)? Or is the cooling/noise...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

This is super helpful, thank you! I've decided to use two NF-F12 intake fans on the bottom, and one NF-F12 intake fan on the side (would ~600rpm (all) do the trick?). I have two 92mm fans for the CPU cooler, so would it be better to attach both fans to the cooler and exhaust upwards, or should...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

For those with open-air GPUs, do you find it necessary to install two 120mm fans on the case bottom, directly below the GPU? Does this have any impact during extended gaming? I'm just wondering if I need more fans for my configuration: - Intel i5 6600k - Noctua NH-U9S (2-fans) - Noctua NF-F12...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

It has the 0db feature, but I still plan on tweaking the fan profile using the software. I read that this GPU is relatively quiet and performs very well in SFF builds, so that was enough to convince me. Good to know about the low noise adapter -- thanks for the heads up!

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Oh damn, thank you for clarifying. I thought it was a modified blower design, but I guess not. After doing a bunch more research, I'm going to take the chance with an open air design GPU. I'm going with the Gigabyte 1070 G1 Gaming, with two intake fans on the bottom, and one intake fan on the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

The MSI 1070 Gaming X won't fit inside the M1, right? Is there any other GTX 1070 with a similar acoustic/thermal profile that would fit?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Ugh, I just can't settle on a GPU for this build! As I was reading through one of those 1070 mini threads, a few were complaining about fan noise at standard operation, and the fan turning on/off repeatedly when the temperature rises just above idle. The Gigabyte G1 Gaming is a bit too loud...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Well if that's true, is there a consensus on which GTX 1070 has the best acoustic/thermal performance, and is hopefully compatible with the ncase M1? I'm more concerned with acoustics/thermals than OC potential, aesthetics, etc. I'd also prefer something manageable for installation (i.e., not...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

An open air design would exhaust hot air inside the case, increasing temperatures for both the CPU and GPU -- possibly driving fan speed even higher, and also increasing noise. For this application, a blower-design would work best, and the 0db at idle feature would ensure mostly silent...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I appreciate the suggestion, but I'm looking for a blower-style 1070 with 0db at idle, preferably in a mini/shorter form-factor for improved airflow in the case. But something tells me no such card exists, or am I mistaken?
