When I go to start, run, then type in cmd for the 32-bit command prompt (on windows xp home edition) the prompt flashes on the screen then disapears.
So then I open the 16-bit command prompt and it works however, when I use simple commands like change directory(cd target folder) it doesn't...
Some words appear on my screen and others don't.
For example, when I go to turn off computer in the start menu, the words below each symbol for standby, shutdown, and restart do not show.
