I did provide provide a valid proof of purchase and that the warranty was never transferred. That is why they RMAed the original faulty GPU thus validating the the lifetime warranty.
Nope when they RMAed the card I purchased they verified the lifetime warranty by law. If they were going to claim the warranty was invalid they should have done so at that time. They also should not have confirmed to me before purchase that as long as the card was brand new and not registered...
That is more or less what they are pulling. Despite having provided my invoice both times. They are saying that when the card was originally RMAed that the person did not verify my invoice and because I purchased the card on eBay (which at the time I was told by XFX would not be an issue and...
In the case of the XFX lifetime warranty it specifically say lifetime of the buyer. Not manufacturing lifetime. So by law as long as the company is in business yes I expect them to honor anything after 50-60 years. However, in this case we are not talking 50-60 years. We are talking less than 4...
Just a heads up to any of you who have an XFX GPU with a lifetime warranty. It seems XFX is refusing to honor their lifetime warranties any longer. I have a R9 280X with a registered lifetime warranty. The card had to be RMAed back in 2015, therefore validating the warranty. However, when I...
Got my old account back, so now I'm JeffC not Sir jaxxy LOL
Any way I am using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus. Problem is I live in the desert so it is hot and dusty. Bad combination for computers. So I have issues when overclocking anything to far. Not to mention this CPU has been running for...
OK So I am getting this, see photo, at random times. I contacted XFX support and they sent me the latest bios to flash. After flashing the bios every game I tried to play crashed my GPU. The support rep told me if I RMA the card it will take up to 3 weeks for me to get another card back...
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your help. We ended up getting an XFX BE DD 280X off eBay for only $165. I am sure that down the road we will be upgrading to a 380 4GB but for now we need to save up so I can get a 390 in the next couple of months.
I don't see the prices of the 290 & 290X to continue going up. As is they are already well above the 390 which is a better card. But, if I am wrong and they do then I will just pick up a 390 down the road.
Either way just wondering if picking up a second 6950 will give enough of a performance...
Does anyone know what the performance increase is running 2 6950 cards in crossfire over a single 6950? I might just go that rout if it will run Witcher 3 until the 290/290X stabilize.
