    LSI 9260-8i Transfer Speed Issues

Ok so trying a few different things. If i start a file transfer FROM a drive attached to the 9260 to a drive that is NOT on the 9260 I get very consistent speeds. It seems the issue is only when transferring from one drive to another when they are both on the 9260. Attached is a screenshot of a...

I found a small chipset fan, attached it to the heatsink, but still the problem persists.

    LSI 9260-8i Transfer Speed Issues

I've tried replacing breakout cables, changing PCI-E slots, and checking the temp in MegaCLI and MSM but there isn't a temp sensor on this card as far as I can see. The issue applies to all drives attached to the card, even the striped RAID0 set. I'll rig up a fan to push some air across the...

    LSI 9260-8i Transfer Speed Issues

RAID level at the moment is just single drive RAID0 (because the card won't do JBOD), but I do have one RAID0 striped across 2 drives for testing. Direct connect 8 drives, 7 rotating, 1 SSD. Airflow looks decent.

    LSI 9260-8i Transfer Speed Issues

Banging my head into the wall on this one. I have a 9260-8i card with numerous drives attached. Everything "works" fine but I have throughput issues when transferring files. It ramps up to speed, and then down to zero and so on, and on. Any ideas? Running the latest firmware on the card...

1366 x58 Xeon Enthusiast overclocks club

3 days stable. When I get some time I will try lowering the vcore a bit (or go back to offset voltage) and see if I can get it to run a bit cooler but it's been performing well!

1366 x58 Xeon Enthusiast overclocks club

I started the overclock going that route but couldn't get my memory at a decent speed. The 5670 allows use of the 24x turbo multiplier on all cores so 24x175 was also stable for a 4.2 overclock but memory was only running at 1403 and I couldn't get the QPI speed up higher than ~3000 without...

1366 x58 Xeon Enthusiast overclocks club

Was able to find the sweet spot for my setup. 200 bclk 20 multi 1.35v vcore 1.35 vtt 1600mhz RAM 3600 uncore All other voltages at stock. I could probably try lowering the vcore and vtt next but why mess with a good thing. Temps at idle are about 30-35c and full load while running prime95...

Picked up a Xeon X5670 to replace my aging i7-920 and I'm stuck with getting the most out of this new chip. It's been a minute since I've overclocked an X58 system.
