Removing EVGA "plate" from their cards?

Is it easy to remove the metal plate from EVGA gfx cards? I have a small case, the top of the case tends to rest right on top of the card. This metal plate sticks out beyond the normal top of the card (the circuit board). Can this be removed?

ASUS North America - ASUS Z170 Motherboards Q&A Thread

Whats better, the 170 Deluxe or the Hero VIII? Lots of people say the Hero is the best mobo you can buy... but then the 170 Deluxe is $100 more expensive? Why the high price?

Cleaning the bloat from Windows 10

I dont recommend disabling Tile Data model server. Doing so makes your PC take 15 seconds longer to start up.

nVidia Card with Horizontal Power Molex?

Unfortunately, that adapter wont cut it. There isn't enough room in a 3U case.

nVidia Card with Horizontal Power Molex?

I have a 3U server chassis for one of my computers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811165439 Because of it's 3U form factor, it doesn't have a lot of vertical space. The current video card I have in the case is an ATI card...

Need a powerful, yet small server PSU...

I've tried running my system off of 450 watts... While it did work, technically, I had to hold the power button on the computer for 2 minutes everytime I turned it on before the system would actually boot. The moment I replaced the power supply with something more powerful, it worked perfectly...

Need a powerful, yet small server PSU...

I've found 3 that are 700w... not sure if this would be enough though... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817103045&cm_re=1u_power_supply-_-17-103-045-_-Product http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817338055&cm_re=1u_power_supply-_-17-338-055-_-Product...

Need a powerful, yet small server PSU...

Every 1U power supply I find doesn't even have cables coming out of them... or they are too long.

Need a powerful, yet small server PSU...

An R9 270X is what I have. Asus Mobo with an i7 4770k. The capture cards will probably be 4 Intensity Pros or Gamecaster HDs. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161463

Need a powerful, yet small server PSU...

Okay, so I have a rather unique requirement for my PC. First of all, it has to be a 3U server rack case, with a depth of 15 inches... it also needs to fit a full sized ATX motherboard. Currently I have 3U rack cases that fit micro ATX motherboards; but I have run out of expansion slots, so I...

How do I force letterbox on a 16:10 monitor for 16:9?

Okay, so what you're saying is first change my desktop resolution to a non-native... Changed resolution to non-native 1680x1050... done. Went into GPU scaling and enabled centered timings... done. Changed resolution back to 1920x1080.... no black bars, centered timings wiped out. Doesn't work...

How do I force letterbox on a 16:10 monitor for 16:9?

This is what I am saying though... my monitor treats 1920x1080 as a native resolution and scales it to the 1920x1200 monitor. So because its treated as a native resolution, the GPU Scaling options in CCC are DISABLED.

How do I force letterbox on a 16:10 monitor for 16:9?

That option didn't do anything... Doesn't that have to do more with over/underscan, not letterboxing? That would add black bars evenly around all 4 sides, I only want to add black bars to the top and bottom. I'm reading the manual for my monitor, and it says that aspect ratio control is not...

How do I force letterbox on a 16:10 monitor for 16:9?

I just got an NEC MultiSync EA243WM; it was a free monitor, which is why I am using it. The problem is that this monitor is a 16:10 monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1200. Unfortunately, I do a lot of streaming at (http://twitch.tv/8wayrun), and my capture card only supports at max...
