Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
So I decided to build a new ZFS NAS and i've run into a major issue. I have built a 20TB ZFS system in the past, but am in no way any type of expert...lol Pretty much after install i can only see drives off the motherboard and none on the 9240-8i card. Looking at the Device Driver Util, there...
Hello
Its been awhile since i've tapped the Hardforum for info...lol I've been following though and it looks like it has definitely grown. ZFS seems to be a hot topic now. My advice for anyone thinking about building a ZFS system is to do it. I built our first 24TB system over a year ago...
Nice to see some replies. Thank you guys. I see what you guys are saying, and its pretty much what i thought. Even though its a multicast stream, I'm still using bandwidth at the hub for all spoke sites. Which makes sense. The only real benefit is the fact that i wouldnt have to send multiple...
Hello all
Looking for some smart Cisco networking guys to help me in my quest to figure out how to multicast video over the internet.
I want to setup a hub and spoke type DMVPN/MGre type scenario. Where I can send a multicast video stream to multiple end users, who are of course...
Trying to figure out a problem I'm seeing on our OC3. Randomly we are seeing input/CRC errors on our POS OC3 card. It seems to be 2 input and 2 CRC's at the same time very randomly. My ISP says they aren't seeming anything, We have tried a different card and swapping cables, and its always on...

Trying to put together a specific server build but running into a problem trying to find the right Raid controller. I need a 6-8 port SAS raid controller that can do 0+1 striped mirrored raid, preferably built into a Dual Xeon 56xx server motherboard. I haven't been able to find one...
Thanks for the info Flint. You definitly got me on the right track. I unfortunately dont have a cisco switch, but do have a managed Dlink 3100-24 unit. From what i have read, all I need to do is figure out how to "lock" the port. Which in turn will bind the mac address to the port.
From Dlink...

Yeah that's too bad. Gea is a really nice guy and very helpful. If you need his help go to the Nexenta.org forum. Its pretty quite there, but he seems to monitor that forum pretty often. I think he's been putting more time into the openindiana version lately, but i would shy away from that OS...
Sort of off topic, but here goes. Is there any kind of database software that can monitor my zfs server's files/folder and add them to a database (monitor by ftp, or share) automatically. Where the database is accessible/search-able by web or standalone app. Would also like the ability to add...
