Why not? This is not an "audiophile" solution, but it is pretty damn good audio for what you are getting. I already made the switch and very happy with the quality of audio from this. With the new f/w coming, it should be even better.

Hmm, could that be because that is the POWER STAGE of the amplifer so it is cooling down the voltage regulators and power rails????? The D2Audio chip is down on the board. If you don't understand class D amplifier design, perhaps you should not be drawing conclusions regarding the technology.
