Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Looking to do a new WC'd build over the winter, here is my parts list ive rounded up:
PC Parts
CPU
- AMD FX-8150
MoBo
- ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
Video Card
- XFX FX-795A-TNBC
Ram
- G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
PSU
- XFX ProSeries P1-1050-BEFX 1050W...
Start with the reciever, its the brain unit of everything. There is an amazing difference in how cheaper recievers sound compared to slightly higher end. If you get a good reciever, it will make any pair of speakers come alive.
So I just completed my HTPC build and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Home on it.
Here are the specs:
CPU: AMD Regor 245
Mobo: Asus M4A785-m
Vid card: Gigabyte 4550
HDD: WD 100g (upgrading in the future)
PSU: OCZ 650 SiltentXstreaM
so on so on, i think i listed anything needed to help solve...
Still no manager, and along with my G-Force visualizer i enjoy using i cant get the standalone to work unless i HAVE the realtek manager (it just tries to use the on board sound)
The chain goes: Gigabyte 4550>HDMI>Samsung T240HD tv> Optical cable>RCA receiver
I will be getting a new Denon receiver in the near future that accepts HDMI (my current RCA one does not, but the RCA does do Dolby 5.1 through SPDIF)
Currently i will be using 5.1 but in the future i will...
