Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Sorry, forgot to give an update on this. Ended up going with a HP Pro Book H11 from amazon. So far I'm pretty happy with it. I really wanted something with a better display but the only way I could seem to do that was to purchase a very expensive laptop. In the end I'm happy with this one as is...
Looking to get a new laptop. Mostly it will be used for getting online while away from home and/or playing movies occasionally. I don't need a powerhouse for gaming but want something reasonably performant. Also what's most important is the display. I want a good quality display. My last laptop...
Dan used to motherboard reviews for H back in the day before Kyle moved on to Intel and shut down the news site. To say he was an invaluable resource is an understatement.
It is unusual that the first board wouldn't power up at all but the second one did and ran for 3 hours before it died. That's why I was stuck in bad motherboard mode with blinders on.
And I'm very aware of your motherboard reviews and can't thank you enough for them. They were a buyers guide...
This is one that definitely had me so frustrated that I couldn't think straight and had to take a step back from. I got up this morning and decided to test the PSU as suggested here. I'm glad I did.
Thanks all for the replies. I may not post much but I've been around here long enough I knew...

philb2 thanks for...
Ok it's been a bit since I built my last rig, over 8 years to be exact. So decided to build me something nice this time around and splurged a bit on the build.

I'm in the same boat. Only use ebay as a LAST resort to sell anything. As such I've got a pile of parts sitting around that I really should get rid of and I haven't sold anything in a looooong time. If it weren't for this place I wouldn't even know heatware existed and I haven't sold anything...
