What's the best 40"-43" Display (Monitor or TV)?
Be warned that it's unconfirmed if the XG43UQ is an RGB monitor. It's current model XG43Q is not RGB with people reporting that text is blurry on the screen. -

Changing the cleartype aliasing to grayscale mode can help with text on a BGR. I find the grayscale setting is overall better than the "BGR aliasing". However afaik, you can only set this mode in the registry or using a tool (like the one I linked to in the last page). hotdogee did you take a... -

AHhhh I just found out my 48" Sony XBR 850b is actually a BGR (and NOT rgb as I had thought)... which I had no idea for years. No wonder I thought the text was a little blurry. After some tuning today, I found that Grayscale Cleartype is much more legible than either rgb or bgr aliasing. I used... -

Currently I use a 48" 4k screen at 100% scaling and sometimes I still find fonts not as sharp as I'd like, even though the screen is RGB (Sony XBR 850b). I'm really concerned about getting this BGR monitor if there's any issue with reading text at 4k/100% scale for 8+ hours a day. If this one... -

Currently, only AMD supports DSC which is a shame. DSC is also not a silver bullet as it does do a form of chroma compression to a certain extent (so there is some loss of detail). So if I'm using nvidia, what's the max I can drive XG43UQ without DSC? Maybe 4k at 8bit? -

What does this mean exactly? Does it mean that duel displayport inputs is required for full features (4k 4:4:4 10bit), but VRR will not work when both inputs are used? Is this true for both the Asus and Acer displays?
