Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Are you running any type of antivirus software/firewall on your folding rigs? If so try disabling/uninstalling it to test. I had a similar issue running AVG Free and a couple others.
That pretty much sums it up. Autocad does have a rendering module for offloading huge renderings to a rendering farm, but I never hear much good about it only its a high maintenance product.
The setups I have worked with in the past you have a master server that delegates the work load to the other servers/workstations in the group. It divides the task up based on performance of the nodes handling the work load. The application has to be written specifically for clustered computing...
So from what I am seeing the high ppd cards are the newer stuff mostly like the 700 series Nvidia and 7000 and up Radeon cards correct? Just wondering cause I have a gtx460 or 2 laying around was debating selling them for a 700 series or using them.
The 2500k does not have HT the 2600K does. The HT does make a noticeable difference in performance on folding applications. I can't give you exact numbers, but I know people tested the 2600k with HT off and on when it came out to see what produced better PPD and HT on was best.
Yea keep an eye on the units my GTX 460 would do that often with a particular unit that had issues. If it is a couple different units try dialing back the OC some or bump up the voltage if you can.
I am in the middle of upgrades on my home server so I made one quick to share out a folder.

Have you tried to log in with just the username osaka-san? Does that user have permissions to that folder? Can you login with a different user account? I have never had to do anything special with samba to work with windows 7.
Seems like every hour or so I lose an hour time on my windows clock also since this happened. Date stays fine. I will look to see if I have another battery laying around I am sure I do somewhere.
Like the title says my MSI 870A-G54 stopped booting yesterday until I clear the CMOS and start it up. I have to do that each time I turn it off to turn it back on. I have tried a new power supply, swapped out RAM and graphics card, unplugged all devices, and updated the BIOS but still having the...
That is what Backup Exec is for much better than the built in backup. If I remember right though there is a way to install the windows xp/2003 backup which can work some tape drives.
