Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Actually, XFX doesnt have a 30 days to register policy like evga. I had a 6800xt which I had purchased about a year ago, and I registered it about 6 months after I purchased it. Everything went through fine, and its still running strong in my backup machine. ;)
Thanks for replying, actually the stock speed for the 256mb 8800gt is supposed to be 700 (to my knowledge), although I've seen some that are clocked at the normal 900.
Ok, I received my 256mb XFX 8800gt today, and decided to do some overclocking with rivatuner to get a little extra performance. Stock it comes at 600/1500/700. I was able to get the core up to 740 and the memory up to 900, but what surprised me was the shader clock which i got to 1900 stable...
