Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I know that this place is littered with these kinds of threads, but I think that's kinda what it's here for. I was hoping someone could give me any suggestions as far as this build. I already have the case, fans, and optical drives.
Also, as I will be saving up money as I go along, the CPU...

I've asked questions here in Power Supplies before, so I wanted some anecdotal experience. I really really like the look of this one, but some of the reviews say that it can't run SLI. Yet, in the Corsair 620 thread it said that...
Okay, so I've been hearing people tell me the future of quad core is bleak, and that it's not worth it to buy a quad core, saying that doing so is just going to leave 2 cores idle more often than not. How true is this? What is the future for quad core computing?
Price really isn't an option, as I have a pretty well-paying job, and I have absolutely no bills. Also, regardless of looks, I want modular more than life itself. I want the cleanest possible look as well, which is why I like those circular modular connections. I don't really give a crap about...
I've been trying to avoid asking forums on the internet for help as much as possible because it all varies depending on where you go, so I have been reading about rails and all that nonsense, and I still don't really understand the concept. I like to consider myself a pretty intelligent person...
I'm trying to wire my case up so that when my hard drive is active, the case sort of strobes. I've drawn up this circuit, and I need to know if this would serve the purpose.
I'm trying to get a good scope of how much power supply I will need for my newest dream rig
the eXtreme Power Supply Calculator told me that all of this:
2 8800 GTX in SLI
Sound Blaster with front panel card
pci-e x1 wireless adapter
2 HDDs
1 overclocked Q6600
2 DVD Drives
fan...
then how would I get it to work like a regular power button?
i.e. Turn key from off to on to boot up PC.
Turn key from on to off to on again to start shutdown sequence
turn key from on to off to do a hard shutdown.
I had assumed this was all controlled by the Mobo/OS, not the power switch...
