Wasn't getting many bites over on the Intel Motherboard section, so I decided to post it over here and see if you guys had any ideas.
System Specs:
Pentium D 805 (slightly OC'd to 2.92 Ghz set in BIOS at 1.375v) with a Scythe Ninja hs/fan
Aforementioned ECS mobo

Pentium D 9xx series need DDR2 ram. I just did a build with an ECS C19-A SLI board (89$ at the Egg). Aside from a few quirks, the board has worked pretty well for me, but it only supports DDR2 667 ram. You would most likely need DDR2 800 RAM to get the maximum performance from your 930.
Yes, I would save up to buy a better system. HP does sell some machines that have X2 series processors in them with 2GB of RAM, that should work pretty well for what you need.
Little OT here, but is autocad multithreaded?
Pentium D 805 OC to 2.92 GHz per core
ECS C-19A SLI nForce4 mobo
eVGA 7600GT
400GB WD 7200 RPM SATA drive
2x1GB G.Skill PC2 5400 RAM
3:32 seconds
None too shabby, even for a baby Pentium D
Oh yeah, sorry about that. The PSU is an Antec Smartpower 500w with dual 12v rails. I contacted ECS support, and they are generally useless. I guess I will go ahead and move the heatsink fan around to blow up instead of across so I can test slots 1/3.
What would be a good prog to use to see...
Alright, first off I am a loooooooooooong time lurker (circa 2000 ;)), first time poster and a first time overclocking job.
