There are a couple of reports of the game running @ 1920x1200 on a single 8800gtx and an X6800 with 20-25fps and some occasional stutters. This gives me some hope that by the time Crysis comes out, you won't need to sell some organs to get a pc that runs...
I am using my htpc for gaming on a plasma hdtv. The TV is a Hitachi 55HDS69 and the computer is using a GeForce 7800GT. The problem I'm getting, is that there is a noticeable lag from the time I move my mouse, or press a button, to the time that the event actually shows up on the TV. I know...
So what I'm getting from your post is that I get any channel regardless if I'm paying for it, unless it is 5C encrypted, right? And is there anyway that I can tell if a channel is 5C encrypted before trying all of this? Just a note, I am actually paying for these channels, but I would like to...
I was a little bit dissappointed when I found out I wouldn't be able to get HD channels such as Discovery or ESPN on my HTPC. I know that ATI is coming out with the OCUR some time next year which I believe will solve all of my problems, but I really don't want to wait that long. Then I read a...
The problem is the PCI slot. I haven't found one PCI card that is listed under the compatible BF2 graphics cards. On the BF2 box, it says Radeon 8500 or higher, but under the detailed list of supported graphics cards, the 9250 isn't listed.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the first computer...
Well, I am trying to get Battlefield 2 to work on a friend's computer and I am not getting much luck. He is only going to need to play the game at bare minimum settings. The system he has is a Celeron 2.6 Ghz, 768mb RAM, and a Radeon 9250. The problem he is having is that once it gets to the...
Yeah, it will look fine. Just make sure you are getting a good cable like Monster. I also have that exact same setup. I am running a DVI-HDMI Monster cable from my 7800GT and the picture quality looks perfect. Like he said it also has features like overscan and underscan to get the picture...
Be wary when hooking a computer up to a plasma screen. Plasma's are notorious for screen burn, especially in lower end models. This becomes a problem when you think about how many static images are displayed on a computer.
That setup looks pretty good. My parents have a very similar setup to what you have in your list with a pentium d 830 and a 7800gt. It plays almost every game at max settings except for Battlefield 2 but that would probably be because it only has 1GB of RAM. If you plan on playing Battlefield...
