Buddy of mine just moved into Walnut Creek. There are some "deals" out there but you have to sacrifice a bit. This apartment complex has a cheaper unit (1BR) at $1750/mo but it's right next to the bart (loud). This location is at least two hours from MV though so probably not what you are...
This is a long story but I'll try to keep it as short as I can without leaving out anything important.
We have a 4U SAN that has been in operational for about four years. It's a simple backup server with 24 1TB drives and a 9260-8i RAID card running RAID 10. Over the years we've had to...
Looking to start a new build this weekend. Usually I get entrenched in review articles and such for a solid month before making any purchase decisions, but I don't have that much time before I want to get this system so I ask for help from the [H].
1) What will you be doing with this PC...
Can't wait to see the new XPS 13 Developer Edition. From what I've read, the new XPS 13 is a Windows laptop equivalent to what Apple has been putting out for years. There's finally an option on the Windows side of things that doesn't sacrifice quality and usability (at least from what I've been...

My rooommate picked up one of these with the brown switches. They feel different from my Filco browns.. a bit stiffer I think, but they're also a bit quieter.
1Password is awesome. I sync it up with Dropbox on all platforms, too. Two passwords to remember: 1Password key and Dropbox password. Couldn't be more happy with the purchase of 1Password, worth the money for sure just for the ease of use.
I upgraded from a Galaxy S3. It's a good time for me to upgrade, and I'm connected across the board into the apple ecosystem now (laptop/primary computer, iPad tablet, iPhone 6, Apple TV, and even have my time machine backups going to one of my servers off-site). I like how everything ties...
You can do that on their site if you custom order, takes a while to get to you but might be worth it if you can spare the battery life for the extra power.
Man, you guys have me second-guessing my purchase of the 13" rMBP last week. I do really like the size & weight of it, but when hooking it up to my 30" 2560x1600 it does seem a bit sluggish in window manipulation. Battery life is top notch, though, can't argue with 8+ hrs web browsing time.
I...
