4k is far too demanding for current gpus and thats a massive amt of resolution to downscale. I want to stick with 1920x1200/1920x1080. gpus arent powerful enough for anything higher without going multi gpu.
I have an old benq fp241w from 2006. No problems with it. I havent been following monitors in quite some time and i was wondering if monitors have advanced beyond just higher resolutions.
and what pc games would those be?
because i feel there should be more than just higher resolutions afforded to me by the high price of high end pc components

yes im sure your 780 drives multiplatform xbox 360 ports with ancient graphics just fine. considering i have a highly overclocked 780ti and even at 1080p performance is rocky in even half-next gen games like crysis 3, bf4 and assassins creed, u have no chance once real graphical hitters like...
the only games it will run smoothly at high settings are xbox 360 ports. you already see how black flag and bf4 perform, and those games are the gears of war and resistance 1 of this generation. performance is only going to get lower from here on out.
