4k is far too demanding for current gpus and thats a massive amt of resolution to downscale. I want to stick with 1920x1200/1920x1080. gpus arent powerful enough for anything higher without going multi gpu.
I have an old benq fp241w from 2006. No problems with it. I havent been following monitors in quite some time and i was wondering if monitors have advanced beyond just higher resolutions.
and what pc games would those be?
because i feel there should be more than just higher resolutions afforded to me by the high price of high end pc components
have you played it before? or even looked at benchmarks?
yes im sure your 780 drives multiplatform xbox 360 ports with ancient graphics just fine. considering i have a highly overclocked 780ti and even at 1080p performance is rocky in even half-next gen games like crysis 3, bf4 and assassins creed, u have no chance once real graphical hitters like...
the only games it will run smoothly at high settings are xbox 360 ports. you already see how black flag and bf4 perform, and those games are the gears of war and resistance 1 of this generation. performance is only going to get lower from here on out.
edit - looking at benchmarks, even if...
just built a system based on nvidia 680i/core 2 duo with an 8800 gtx. anyways i get it alla ssembled and u power it up and theres a pretyt loud clicking, it seem slike its coming from the psu which is a zalman zm600. im also not getting a display on my monitor. all the fans spin in the...
how do pc games look on this compared to the popular 24 inchers from dell, samsung etc. do they look worse with the larger screen+ lower res combo? less sharp? rly trying to pick out a monitor.
in what ways is this better than the 24 inchers besides being bigger? is the panel better? better image quality? less ghosting? assuming u were going to get 1 of the 24 inchers which would u all get?
has anyone used both the westinghouse and 1 of the 24 inch lcds(dell, benq, samsung, gateway etc.)? how do they compare? i wanna get a flatscreen but its rly hard to pick out the best one. it will be used with a pc for gaming/movies/general pc use. do the 24 inchers have better image quality...
this monitor seems like its rly good from reading these 2 huge threads, i have some concerns tho. ive done a LOT of reading and it seems like all the 24 inchers(dell, samsung, gateway, benq) get as much negative reviews as positive which makes me hesitant to drop the cash. this monitor is big...
what is the best monitor(24 inch +) assuming price isnt an issue, its going to be primarily used with my pc for gaming, media and regular computer use. i read some of that Westinghouse 37 inch thread and it seems popular, but with such a large screen and a lower resolution than the 24 inchers...
