Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm currently having an issue with the following speakers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16886228014
I have them connected by Bluetooth. What's happening is when there is no sound for about 10 seconds, the speakers "power down" which makes this gross clicking sound. When...
I have an Asus Eee PC 1000H netbook: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/Eee_PC_1000H/
Every now and then, during a storm or so, the electricity in my house will flicker and I'll get a power surge. Sometimes it'll cut off for a few seconds and then back on. What I've noticed is that when...
Recently, and completely out of nowhere, I was playing League of Legends and I my monitor cut black, went to "no signal," and then I heard a loud "skipping" noise from my speakers (one as if a music CD was dirty and began skipping, just repeating a noise).
After days of basic computer usage...
For the past 2-3 days, strange things have been going on with my desktop and its interaction with the monitor. While playing a game, my monitor went black as if my computer had been shut off. However, the computer remained on. Power was still active, every fan inside of the case was working...
I am desperately needing a solution to binding certain applications to specific network interfaces. ForceBindIP seems to be my only solution. Although the website claims it works up to XP, Google says that many users running 7 have had it work successfully. I have UAC disabled, yet still:
Does...
I'm in Florida, where we experience an awful lot of thunderstorms. Often times, my place will experience a brief power outage. I have a netbook that is always plugged into an AC adapter and plugged into a wall, I use it on a desk as if it was a desktop computer. When these outages occur, the...
Sometimes my laptop will temporarily freeze for about 4 seconds, and then when it unfreezes, the keyboard starts going nuts. Sometimes it will beep like crazy, sometimes it will retype and spam the last 4-5 sentences I've typed out, and then all of a sudden the keyboard just dies. I can't type...
Is there a way for me to limit the connection speed/throughput of a certain device or devices using this router? Basically, I'd like any way possible to be able to limit someone on the network from bogging down everyone while they stream Netflix. I used to achieve this by using SoftPerfect...
The current router being used is a Windstream Sagem F@st 1704. Old one was a Windstream 2Wire 2701HG Modem/Router. Windstream is the DSL provider, they've branded both of these routers though.
I just did a little searching and noticed this thread...
Ping to the router or to any outside website? For me to really test that, I'd need to run the ping in the middle of one of these dropoffs. I'll try to see if I can do that sometime soon.
Yep, a DSL connection and PPPoE apparently. I honestly don't know what PPPoE is, other than what the...
Parents just got a new router from their service provider, they do this every year or two. Already tried convincing them to just get a new router since this one seems problematic, but it appears not to be an option (because they're weird).
Last router they had worked just fine.
This router...
In a little bit of a tech nightmare here. I know oodles about software, not so much more than the above average user about hardware.
I recently had to toss an old desktop of mine. It was gradually getting slower and slower, and after shutting the desktop down for long periods of time, it would...
Thanks for the help so far, guys. I've flushed the DNS with no results, and here's my results of /all:
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Craig-PC
Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Broadcast
IP Routing Enabled. ...
Sorry about that. We're under the same workgroup and I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium x86.
I've made no changes to my PC firewall or router firewall recently. I do not host my own DNS server.
