Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yes, I believe so...the first would not POST so I can't officially confirm, but I would assume seeing as the second had the "New Version" sticker as well and I can confirm the BIOS reports C2.
No, no, no...sorry I have another thread going about a build that won't POST. It turned out the motherboard was bad so I had to send it back. I just got the replacement and everything works now. Both had the "New Version" sticker so both were C2.
Does anyone know if it is possible to set a hard drive password with this motherboard so I can secure my SSD with encryption? I don't seem to see a setting for this, but maybe I am missing it.
Yup, finally got my replacement motherboard as mentioned in my other thread and got everything built last night. In the BIOS, Chipset Version is reported as C2.
So I finally got my replacement mobo and got everything put together again tonight and it booted right up with no problems yay!
Just curious now, I haven't done anything yet other than explore the BIOS settings and I am watching the hardware monitor to check out the CPU temps and it is around...
Well, I think it's dead Jim. Took it out of the case, used a good PSU, reseated CPU, try one stick of RAM in both slots, same BS. System powers up for a second or two, then off, then comes back on. No post or video.
Thanks guys.
Tried that too. I think tomorrow I will remove the mobo from the case and just try to run it on the box just to make sure nothing is causing a short. Failing that I guess its time to rma to newegg.
Yup only things plugged into mobo: 24 and 8 pin power, cpu, ram. Press power button, system turns on for a second or two, then off, then back on but no Post. I had to borrow the speaker from my old pc as well because the Sg05 doesnt have one. No sounds at all.
Well, I am pretty sure it is the mobo. I pulled my PSU from my old rig, and same result. Just to make sure, the only thing I have connected to the mobo right now from the PSU is an 8-pin power connector and 24-pin power connector right? Sorry to sound like a total newb, just want to make sure I...
Hey guys,
Hoping someone might be able to give me some help here. Just built a new rig with the following parts:
Silverstone SG05 (w/ 450w, USB3.0)
Asrock Z87e-itx
i5 4570
2x4gb Crucial Ballistix RAM
Geforce 760
Samsung 840 EVO
Just went to power on for the first time with all...
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how can you tell if the board is C2? Just got mine from Newegg, I've read from others that the box will have a "C2 Stepping" sticker. Mine does not, but it does have a "New Version" sticker.
I was looking at the 2412s way back when I started thinking about doing a new build, but I have kind of written them off because of whats suppose to be a harsher AG and PWM and a lot of the newer displays seem to be improving in these areas.
The P2414 sounds promising for the price I just do...
