Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I decided not to try 1405. The new evga 260 solved my problems. It's running great now so I don't want to fix something that isn't broke. BTW RogueTrip, this mobo is mofo if you have hard drives plugged in the sata plugs and you use the top pcie slot with a 260, you have to smash down the sata...
Thanks! I upgraded the power supply, that wasn't it. I have a new 260 coming today, if that's not it I'll have to buy myself another Christmas present, dammit. LOL
My video blacks out randomly and will not come back on until I leave it off for a while then reboot. I can hear it running ok when its blacked out. I hear ms intro and exit music. I switched pci slots, no help. It's not the monitor, I switched and it did the same thing. Could the card be dying?
I read 1405 has an update for Vista for low power state mode. I have noticed sometimes that mine doesn't awake from low power and I have to reboot. Maybe it fixes that?
I'm going to try it with 64 bit Vista. Did the memory black hole thing when I got 4 sticks. Thanks for reminding me. Got a gtx 260 coming Monday. I have been having problem with my 7950 overheating. No fan on it, just a radiator thing. Bad design I think. I see they don't make that kind anymore...
Hi bitgod,
I have never had the black out problem, but I have never used the original BenQ cable that came with the monitor. I will get the original out and see if I can induce the black out problem.

Well I guess no one knows anything about these monitors, including the manufacturer. They won't even tell us what kind of panels they put them. Why does that have too be such a big secret? Sinbios tore his WZ apart, for the "benefit of science" and found an A-MVA panel. I don't think that...
There is always a better one if you just wait one more month! :D
Nice price. Maybe someday firmware upgrades will be a thing of the past.
I mean, isn't it like an E prom flash? I'm a dumbass, and I don't mean to simplify a problem, but couldn't someone figure out a fix for that problem...
Sorry, I'm really thick headed, but I don't understand the difference between the original upgrade and the upgrade that you guys said that you received.
