What's the point of 4k if you scale up the size of things?

Have you never watched an Apple press conference? :) "The pixel density is so high, your eyes can’t discern individual pixels." "Images take on a new level of realism." "let you see more of your high-resolution images with pixel-for-pixel accuracy." "And text is so sharp, you’ll...

    G-Sync flicker at load screens

So there is a known issue with G-Sync panels having subtle flicker at extreme low/high framerates such as when at a load screen: http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Editorial/Look-Reported-G-Sync-Display-Flickering Does anyone know if there is any update or workaround for this? It happens between...

    4K IPS G-SYNC (Asus RoG SWIFT PG27AQ)

Actually, I don't even think displayport would support 4K @ 144hz just from bandwidth limits

Acer announces 4K 28" monitor with Gsync

For the record, I don't have any issues with uniformity or backlight bleed. But I also haven't analyzed it that much to look for issues. Most of my problems are related to the functionality of 4K in 2014.

Acer announces 4K 28" monitor with Gsync

I run mine with a single GTX 670, and its pretty rough, but I'm often surprised at how well some games do at 4K. The gsync also helps so that it doesn't need to peg 60fps constantly. Just be prepared to turn down settings again.

Acer announces 4K 28" monitor with Gsync

From what I can tell, and my personal experience with multiple modern displays, I think its just a symptom of the shift to LED backlighting. I found CCFL to be so much more uniform compared to LED. There is something about the diffusers or LED arrangement that makes it more difficult to build...

Acer announces 4K 28" monitor with Gsync

I agree somewhat, I only notice the lack of AA in motion when you get that crawl effect.

Acer announces 4K 28" monitor with Gsync

It works fine on mine, but I hope you like playing on what amounts to a 1080p 14" monitor.

I know you're being snarky, but yeah pretty much lol

Acer announces 4K 28" monitor with Gsync

I run most games at 1440p. 1080p is too blurry and 4K has UI issues in some games. 1440p is decent, but obviously not as good as native.

Acer announces 4K 28" monitor with Gsync

Try using Chrome instead, I had better luck with it. Also, you can go to the properties of any program and disable DPI scaling if it is blowing up the images.

Acer announces 4K 28" monitor with Gsync

Do you have windows DPI scaling turned on (150%)? Also, what browser or image software are you viewing it in?

Seiki 4k Tv for Gaming *Thoughts?*

So I owned the 50" 4K Seiki and tried doing some PC gaming on it. I will say that 4K @ 30 fps was somewhat livable, but it just was too much of a compromise. It was cool that it could do 1080p @ 120fps though. The biggest problem I had with it is that the overall build quality was terrible, it...

Acer announces 4K 28" monitor with Gsync

I played about 8 hours of Civilization Beyond Earth at 1440p this weekend so its definitely doable. It looks good but yeah its a little softer than at 4K or native 1440p. As another example of the limitations of this monitor right now, Civ: BE is a brand new game and at 4K the UI elements...
