    Inland Professional 480gb SSD - Here's what's inside

Been looking for some cheap SSDs and found the Inland. Ordered two of them and then saw the Team L5 Lite for even cheaper! So its a 480GB shootout.I discovered Inland has updated their 480GB with a plastic shell and only 2 NAND chips! Probably switched to 3D nand flash. The controller is also...

    Ryzen with 3600MHz RAM Benchmark

They have HTDC Ryzen 12/16 Core coming out. Maybe Quad Channel will help Ryzen pull it over the top!??!

    Nvidia GeForce Live Event

Wow didn't' expect the 1080ti so soon after I watched Hitler crying about it in the ryzen video lol. Don't even need that much power, VR so far is pretty sad, we need 4k gen 2 machines, 1440k is still too pixelated. I only play blizzard games right now so I don't even need my 1080. In facti just...

Relid Your Intel CPU on the Cheap with no Delid Tools @ [H]

I tried a lot of glues from E6000, a few different superglues from loctite and krazy. I found G02 to have best elasticity while give an ok hold. If you want near permanent you have to head to epoxy. I just use JB quick. You need to redo the original delid to get that back off.

    Who's planning to buy Zen?

Honestly scared of platform bugs, as it is a whole new architecture. Even Skylake had bugs, esp the notebook side which had TONs.

Early Core i7-7700K Testing Reveals Higher Clocks And Power Usage

Delidding with CLU definitely helped temps a boatload. I get nearly 15C lower on even cheap coolers like the Hyper 212+. 6700K to 7700K is basically 4770K to 4790K. Intel marketing is just better at spinning it this time with new codename and all.

Any rumored dates for the 1TB Samsung 950 Pro?

I would stick to consumer drives as NVMe drivers are iffy on OEM right now.

Best option for data integrity on Security DVR

I'm building a security DVR, probably will have 8 IP cameras total, they are 1440p. I want to have about a week of footage so i'm looking at at least 6TB. What would be the best way to protect the footage from hard drive going bad? Should I go brute force RAID1 2x6TB (most expensive) or would...

Anyone notice the Ashes of the Singularity 1.2 preview?

Seriously this game doesn't look that much better than Homeworld Desserts of Kharak, which is a unity engine game!!

    Dell T20 Mini-Tower "server" for $139

Waiting for the $40 coupon to come again. At $140 it really can't be beat, only annoying things is that since its a "server" it doesn't support sleep correctly and it requires a laptop DVDROM drive.

Intel Skylake Core i7-6700K IPC & Overclocking Review @ [H]

I went from 2700k to Skylake, man Heroes of the storm runs like butter now, i use to get 80fps, now i get 120fps to match my o/c 27" monitor. Both on 970GTX.

    2600k or bust?

I have a 2700k and finally upgraded it to skylake, actually had haswell parts all ready but got lazy and sold it. I must say my games feel a lot more butter than the 2700k. Like Heroes of the storm and SC2 i would get 80fps on a 970 but get 120fps now with skylake to match my o/c monitor. Going...

Looking for anyone looking to sell their obsolete large nice heatsinks for display purposes. The mobo fits socket 775 and 1150 so that should be over 90% of the high end coolers out there. Thanks!
