Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Why on earth would anyone wanna do that w/o some sort of compensation on your part?
It's not like this is a straight swap. It's a downgrade for whoever is giving up the 1 stick for 2.
As mentioned, a Pentium M cannot be upgraded to any core cpus. This includes core solo, core duo or core 2 duo.
Your only choice is another Pentium M, that's it. The core cpus are either socket M or P, while your Pentium M is socket 478.
This is a no brainer. Obviously the 7950GTX is a much better card than the 8600GT.
The only thing that the 8600 has is dx10 capabilities. But if you play in dx9, then there's no comparison.
If your cpu was "broken" then your computer wouldn't even turn on, much less score a low # on some stupid benchmark.
So no, you do not have a broken cpu. And just cuz some random benchmark is not quite on par with others doesn't mean you have a bad cpu. It's just a number, who cares what you...
Umm not much, but you can look at the task manager when on the external monitor vs when on the regular monitor and see how much more the cpu/hdd/memory is used.
So obviously you're pretty knowledgeable when it comes to computer hardware and everything. So how is it that you don't know how to figure out the specs of a computer.
It's like dropping of your car to a mechanic, and before he starts working on it he asks you what model the car is and what...
No offense, but if you can't even figure out how to find the specs of your own computer by urself, how can u expect to pull something as complicated as swapping out a laptop cpu.
Just download cpuz and it will tell u all the info you need about ur processor.
What you mean internal usb port? Like inside the notebook that can't be accessed from the outside. If you mean that, then no computer in the world has usb ports that are INSIDE the case.
Otherwise it has several usb ports that you can plug stuff in around the chassis.
In fact, laptops made...
Doesn't look good...
I had the same problem with a different laptop where it froze and holding down the power button wouldn't shut it down. So I unplugged it and took out the battery. Next thing I know, the thing wouldn't start for the life of me.
Turns out the mobo was fried.
Hope you...
What you're doing is installing the OS 75% of the way thru, then quitting the job because of the boot order. When the computer reboots, it's supposed to go back to finish the installation. But because of ur boot order, the computer reboots and never finishes the installation, but goes on to tell...
