Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for the suggestion. That looks like a real good deal, actually. I'm not opposed to a refurbished one. Do you have experience with any from that site?
Hmm, are you sure the 515 doesn't? If you look at the Amazon page and scroll down, there is a comparison chart and it says it does have...
Hey guys, I'm trying to find the least expensive AV receiver that has analog to HDMI video upconversion. So far, the best deals I've found are these:
Onkyo TX-NR616
Onkyo TX-NR515
But they seem to have mixed reviews (particularly the NR616), with many people claiming they have unreliable...
Promotional pictures for these "virtually no bezel" monitors are misleading, with some just outright being doctored. Yes, the actual bezel itself is very very thin..but the panel itself still has about a half inch black border around it.
It's certainly more than one would need for working/light browsing. I have a 27" Apple Cinema Display at work, and the S2340M at home, and the Dell looks just as good to me.
Honestly, the gloss on the S2340 is not bad at all..in fact, I think it's perfect. I too have a MacBook Pro with a glossy screen, and they seem equally glossy. If you're saying your room has no significant glare, I'd strongly consider the S2340L. It's a sleek monitor too.
I took the picture maybe about 17" or so away. It definitely goes away when I physically move my head to the corners. That is to be expected, right? I know it is hard to tell from that picture as it blows things out, but does that seem normal to you, or excessive? Thanks again for your...
I think fading as in the corners appear to be dimmer as though there isn't as much light coming through. Though not very accurate, I took a picture that shows what I'm talking about:
Thanks for your detailed response. I think the issue involves the bleeding with black backgrounds. First one def have very minimal "fading" in the corners. This one appears to come through more. Call me crazy if that isn't possible to vary from model to model. Colors in general appear great, though.
So I decided to exchange my S2340M for another one and the "give" on the panel around the edges is much less pronounced in this one. But now I am thinking the actual PQ of the first one was superior. Am I just going crazy?? Or is that something that is possible?
Thanks for the reply. Yea, I'm thinking maybe because yours has the edge-to-edge glass is the reason for no flex. Either way, I think I'm going to take it back for a new one. The display itself looks great!
