Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
This is why Windows endures. From a PC gaming perspective Windows, even Windows 10 is essentially 100% PC gaming compatible dating back years with support for even the latest and greatest like VR.
Linux folks, three years after Windows 10 is like totally capable of supporting VR gaming on two...
I care about the Store to the extent that I care about using the thousands I spend on hardware to the fullest possible extent. I think that for a hardware enthusiasts forum it's odd that some folks want to criticize others for simply wanting to obtain all the functionality they can for the large...
Perhaps. But the single greatest strength of Windows of the desktop is its 3rd party support for all sorts of things. For all of the issues that Windows 10 has, the amount of hardware and software support is incredible. Without that support even folks like me who are considered Microsoft...

The ironic thing about this though is when it comes to gaming platforms what's really better than Windows? From the amount of content to the variety of tech that Windows games can run, nothing comes close.
What I was thinking, the fixes to the file deletion and Zip problem have been insider builds for a few weeks now and I'm guessing that Microsoft is being VERY careful about a re-release. Thing is it looks like Microsoft is doing to right thing and being careful but it's also being SILENT about...
There's nothing in the Store that can't be distributed another way, even UWPs don't have to go only through the Store. That Microsoft decides to distribute some of its own stuff only through the Store, well look at how many folks don't want to cough up 30% to a third party these days.
This was in response to the point that "There's no reason to use the Windows Store." There was no qualification for type of software in the post I was responding to.
While the Store needs work without question, there are plenty of reasons to obtain at least some things there. There are things like Forza, service apps like Netflix (4k and 5.1 audio are both only possible with the app as well as local downloads), even some decent productivity apps like Xodo, a...
