you need to connect that power cable if you have Elite Pro which comes with breakout box, that power connector provides power for breakout box but you don't have to connect it if you have lower card w/o breakout box

have you ever consider Auzentech Prelude? I have Elite Pro, Auzentech Prelude and X-Meridian and I know Xonar is using the same chipset C-Media as X-Meridian. I hate that fact that Creative is so bad on drivers so I have to tell you to stay away from Creative, Elite Pro comes with breakout box...

I think the temps are good but if you think it's not good enough then I can tell you a thing when I look at your setup, it could have been better if you can get cool air to your rad but instead you'll get warm air to your rad since your rad mounted in the middle (sandwich type) so don't expect...
