What are you nerds playing this weekend?

Was playing BL3, till the typhoon took out power... Hopefully it takes less than a week this time to get power back on.

    Gears of War 5

So... With stealth fully unlocked and the ultimate, i lost my team on more than one occasion when clearing an area why being stealthed and killing everything. While walking to the next area the chat sequence would go on and the team would talk, and I would have to solo combat waves of enemies...

    Gears of War 5

The amount of times I had to start an act over due to a door not opening or the skiff bugging out and preventing me from moving forward... Has been more than a little upsetting... Taking a break till they patch this buggy mess.

The state of VR - Lost it's steam?

Initially, I had the same issue when playing games like Dirt, I had to play in small increments. After a week or so I could play longer and longer, but the lack of sensory feedback really threw me for a loop initially.

Any Ryzen 3 3200G fans out there?

Still using the 2200G, debating about grabbing the 3400... But happy with what I have for now. It’s used on the main TV for emulators/720p gaming, when reading reviews it did not seem to offer a large enough bump to justify the upgrade. If I were to grab one... I would go with the...

Paper Launch for AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

Well grabbed one locally on an impulse buy, wife has to stop letting me out of the house alone. No clue what I am going to do with it though... Feels more like a why not? In all honesty, when the ASRock X470D4U 2T drops to correct price ill grab it and replace my dual 2650s, till then I will...

Related question: useful comparison of Intel and AMD chipsets?

Looking at your previous post here is an extremely short breakdown of what you need to consider when deciding a chipset. AMD AM4 3XX/4XX/5XX- Desktop oriented with 24 lanes (someone can correct me if I am wrong), these lanes are shared between your chipset, and PCIE slots. Generally allowing...

Confused over ASUS subbrands: TUF, Strix, ROG, etc.

When people are saying Buildzoid has great info out there, they are referring to a few videos by him linked below. In short, the X570 TUF is an amazing board for its price, now it might not give you everything you wanted but at $200 for an entry board (yesh) it performs well. I run one for my...

    240hz gaming

on any of my recommendations as others, look at your games/programs you use, than start looking at which side and what processor. Chances are one side is beating the other, even with lesser cores. On the plug and play, I had no issues with my X470/X570 when I researched what memory to buy. My...

240hz gaming TLDW, Intel 9700K/9900K + 2080ti provide the highest FPS in almost every scenario. However, when looking at the 3600 vs. the competition you have to ask yourself is it worth the extra money for that 30...

Price being equal; 5700XT or 2070 Super?

I pretty much stick to Gamers Nexus, here is their 5700 XT review. You will see stock and overclocked cards across multiple games at 1080/1440/4K, same if you were to watch their processor review. In short card is good and exchanges blows with the 2070S in some titles, but would not...

Local storage vs NAS for photography (how to speed up workflow)

I do not know the distance between your computer and the server, if you are very close (or sitting on the desk) you can direct connect 10Gb and call it a day. Might take a little to get working and since I see FreeBSD I would make sure the card you pickup has drivers/support for them...
