Hey guys, i think i just bricked my TV, i installed the september 277 firmware linked here on the 50 inch 4k TV, and now it seems to just be stuck on a black screen. Is there anyway to unbrick it and reinstall the July 260 firmware on it. (i can't seem to access the menu)

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Now i'm just waiting to see someone insane stuff a Titan Z in one of these cases. XD (may require that 600w SFX PSU though)

As an owner with a Radeon 7870, i can confirm that both 4k30hz and 1080p120hz work just fine, got it working on 99% of games by using CRU, AMD pixel clock patcher, and RadeonPro (this ones sometimes required to force it into 120hz and sometimes to activate double vsync for games capped at...

Hey, when you guys say the input lag is reduced, do you mean for specific modes, or across the board? Like, would 4k30hz, 1080p120hz, and 1080p/720p60hz from a console be reduced?

I still have no idea how calibrating this tv works, even when people flatout tell me what values to use, it seems like theres some overlapping settings between the modes, hdmi# input, secret menu and user menu's, and they aren't consistent between the different menus.. :/ seems like when i get...

Nope, but i hope to have one within a few years, whenever AMD/Nvidia decides to add the spec to their cards. I know the chips/boards for DP1.3 don't exist yet and wont for quite a while, i just think it'd be pretty awesome to have if/when the tech is available. (until then i can get by with...

I don't think i'd pay for new internal hardware on this TV unless it allowed 4k120hz via DP 1.3. :3 When it gets down to it, if i could choose between 4k60hz and 1080p120hz for gaming, i'd choose 120hz every time because it has less input lag and arguably "looks" better when things are moving...

http://12noon.com/?page_id=80 This program should be able to do exactly that, the set up i have with this has icons on my desktop that i just double click to swap between 4k and 1080 120hz and various others, works great. Theres also a program that lets you change resolutions via a...

All these latest breakthroughs with the engineering menu and busybox are very exciting, i can only imagine the cool stuff that may be possible. Thoughts of awesome custom firmware that does stuff like unlocking the refresh rate (to do 140hz1080p, 254hz720p, and 45hz4k like the skyworth), proper...

I don't seem to be getting that problem on my 50" one. http://i.imgur.com/VunHJB7.jpg either an issue with the 39", or a faulty unit, either way i'd suggest you return it if possible.

oh yeah, i got retroarch working how i wanted to in 120hz mode, apparently it had frame doubling all along, it was just called "vsync swap interval" and you can get frame doubling, tripling, quadrupling etc with it. next thought for this tv, if we installed new electronics in the future with...

I gave that a try, didn't seem to change anything though, also i can't seem to tolerate tearing with vsync off, it bothers me a bit more than it seems to bother most others.

Hmm, seems as though I've been getting some stutter on 60hz and ntsc all along, i tried that 119.88hz timing you posted and it seems to be about the same as 120hz, i'm just gonna chalk all this up to programs/games not knowing how to deal with high frame rates and doing proper frame doubling for...

I'm actually still using the EDID you posted. But yeah, i get the stutters in these framerate locked games when running 1920x1080@60 or 1920x1080@120, but at 1080p NTSC (added this from amds catalyst) the frame rate and refresh rate are perfectly synched and it's completely stutterfree. i...
