Hey guys, i think i just bricked my TV, i installed the september 277 firmware linked here on the 50 inch 4k TV, and now it seems to just be stuck on a black screen. Is there anyway to unbrick it and reinstall the July 260 firmware on it. (i can't seem to access the menu)

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Now i'm just waiting to see someone insane stuff a Titan Z in one of these cases. XD (may require that 600w SFX PSU though)

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

As an owner with a Radeon 7870, i can confirm that both 4k30hz and 1080p120hz work just fine, got it working on 99% of games by using CRU, AMD pixel clock patcher, and RadeonPro (this ones sometimes required to force it into 120hz and sometimes to activate double vsync for games capped at...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

Hey, when you guys say the input lag is reduced, do you mean for specific modes, or across the board? Like, would 4k30hz, 1080p120hz, and 1080p/720p60hz from a console be reduced?

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

I still have no idea how calibrating this tv works, even when people flatout tell me what values to use, it seems like theres some overlapping settings between the modes, hdmi# input, secret menu and user menu's, and they aren't consistent between the different menus.. :/ seems like when i get...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

Nope, but i hope to have one within a few years, whenever AMD/Nvidia decides to add the spec to their cards. I know the chips/boards for DP1.3 don't exist yet and wont for quite a while, i just think it'd be pretty awesome to have if/when the tech is available. (until then i can get by with...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

I don't think i'd pay for new internal hardware on this TV unless it allowed 4k120hz via DP 1.3. :3 When it gets down to it, if i could choose between 4k60hz and 1080p120hz for gaming, i'd choose 120hz every time because it has less input lag and arguably "looks" better when things are moving...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

http://12noon.com/?page_id=80 This program should be able to do exactly that, the set up i have with this has icons on my desktop that i just double click to swap between 4k and 1080 120hz and various others, works great. Theres also a program that lets you change resolutions via a...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

All these latest breakthroughs with the engineering menu and busybox are very exciting, i can only imagine the cool stuff that may be possible. Thoughts of awesome custom firmware that does stuff like unlocking the refresh rate (to do 140hz1080p, 254hz720p, and 45hz4k like the skyworth), proper...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

I don't seem to be getting that problem on my 50" one. http://i.imgur.com/VunHJB7.jpg either an issue with the 39", or a faulty unit, either way i'd suggest you return it if possible.

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

oh yeah, i got retroarch working how i wanted to in 120hz mode, apparently it had frame doubling all along, it was just called "vsync swap interval" and you can get frame doubling, tripling, quadrupling etc with it. next thought for this tv, if we installed new electronics in the future with...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

I gave that a try, didn't seem to change anything though, also i can't seem to tolerate tearing with vsync off, it bothers me a bit more than it seems to bother most others.

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

Hmm, seems as though I've been getting some stutter on 60hz and ntsc all along, i tried that 119.88hz timing you posted and it seems to be about the same as 120hz, i'm just gonna chalk all this up to programs/games not knowing how to deal with high frame rates and doing proper frame doubling for...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

I'm actually still using the EDID you posted. But yeah, i get the stutters in these framerate locked games when running 1920x1080@60 or 1920x1080@120, but at 1080p NTSC (added this from amds catalyst) the frame rate and refresh rate are perfectly synched and it's completely stutterfree. i...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

Hi guys, so after having used 120hz for a few weeks, i'm absolutely loving it, however i'm left with a huge dilemma when i'm playing any game with a locked framerate, i get some pretty bad stuttering when i play something like retroarch or bit trip runner or most console ports. I've found the...

Someone over on AVS is saying that you can get 1080p120hz on the 39" if you flash the 50" firmware on it. http://www.avsforum.com/t/1473728/official-seiki-se50uy04-50-inch-4k-uhd-owners-thread/60#post_24143801 good news if true. :3

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

h80 has metal tubing, h80i has rubber tubing, i'm worried this metal tubing will be much less flexible and i'm not about to try and shorten it. :/ If i can't get it in, i may just have to order a good large air cooler.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

very nice, though i should probably ask if using those 2 completely different fans for push/pull on the radiator is gonna cause turbulence or not? I'm planning to do my build with an h80 and a 2 15mm phobya slim fans, my only worry with my build is that damn metal tubing on the h80. :/

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

That's my hope and dream for this TV, i tried out a few games in 4k, while they were unplayable due to framerate and 30hz, they looked stunning. and if the 120hz stuff i've tried out is anything to go by, games even look pretty smooth when they aren't running at a constant 120fps, can only...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

Hi, i just got this tv in the mail today, i'm using houkouonchi's .inf file for it. My only question is if it's at all possible to get it to do integer 1x1 -> 2x2 scaling in 1080p120hz, or failing that atleast get it to use the full screen area. (got some black bars on the top and bottom.. :/ )...

Variable Refresh Rate Monitors (G-Sync) --- Refresh Rate Varies While You Play!!!

I am incredibly excited for this technology, this fixes many of my issues with modern gaming. I plan to hold off on my next display purchase so i can get something with this, and my next video card purchase is gonna have to be nvidia. The days of lowering settings just so you don't dip below...

    Seiki SE50UY04 3840x2160 50" TV ($1300)

Hey, so what do you guys think the chances are that we'll be able to install one of those gsync modules in this tv? As i was reading that news today, the first thing that came to mind was how awesome it would be if we could mod HDTV's with this thing and eliminate most of the input lag.

yay, ordered a black one. So, I'm intending to use the 3.5" HDD bracket and was wondering what you guys would recommend as far as coolers (liquid or air) that will fit. I was sorta thinking a H60 or H80, though I'm not sure if the H80 would fit or not. (it's 37mm when the FAQ says 35mm max)
