personally i did the frame of the case without sanding because there were more nooks, crannies, and other small areas that i didn't want to haft to deal with sanding, on the outside though i went down to 600 grit and have heard of people using 1200, with a flat paint you could probably get away...
my cat doesn't harm my computer at all except for the hair which the fan filters will help with, one time he knocked my case over but that was because of a case instability due to the wheels that i put on, after that i made sure that the wheels pointed out and everything was fine.
ya well i've had a plethora of ideas for this case including but not limited to:
a custom ghettomodish watercooling setup
putting a shock on the side panel so when the top was opened the side would open automaticly
incorperating a remote control car to allow for easier and more fun movement...
painting a labtop seems more work than its worth to me but if you insist you're going to haft to get two different types of paint for the plastic and metal parts because there is no paint for both, also make sure you pay attention when you're taking it apart so you know how it goes back together...
Well my comp is in my new case and here are the pics (I know the cable routing isn't that great but it's hard to hide cables that have so far to go)
I need to find something to fill that top drive bay
I'd gawk, drool, maybe take it for a test drive if possible then send him away when he shows me the price tag. and they are very nice cases and I finally figured out that that all that cooling system of theirs does is allow them to get rid of any grill in the faceplate by ducting it in from the...
well seeing as my previous post was completely ignored I'll try a different approach
Comparing these Windy cases to LL is like compairing a Lambo to a Corvette, yes the corvette is a very fast and capable sports car but a Lambo will outpace a corvette easily, but then again the Lambo costs a...
for a completely virgin unmodded case your best bet is probably to find someone thats getting rid of an old store bought computer although even those have side panel fans and stuff already done to them sometimes but on the plus side you get the case for free or at least under $20. Or if you get...
those cases do look very nice and i'm not sure how good a window would look because there would need to be two windows on those cases that have the seconed inner panel for some reason so a window would really be more trouble than it's worth, but then again those cases are priced outrageously...
i just read through most of this thread and it looks good but I am concerned about weather or not you plan to paint the drive cage, if you plan to put in a window i would consider it a must. and i'm not sure what you're planning to do with the new faceplate but what I would do is eather stealth...
well most of the 4 years it was just sitting with a bunch of stuff on it because i had a bunch of ideas for it like having the side panel automatically open with the top and other stuff of that sort that never really panned out. anyway here are some more pics, all thats left is the front panel...
the case i'm putting together is old so it has a turbo led, no turbo switch just the led and as there's no turbo led pinout on my mobo I was wondering if anybody else had any ideas on what i could use it for, because I don't have a speaker I was thinking of using the led instead what do you guys...
I've been working on this old full tower for about 4 years now and it's finally nearing completion, when I got it it looked like this:
I worked on it once in a while but for a long time it just sat until somewhat recently I lost my temper at the crummy cheepo premodded case I had...
