Diamond Viper V550 and the Hercules 3D Prophet II Ultra... First one, because it was the first real GPU I bought myself and wasn't a card I scabbed from someone else. The second because it was blue, and I loved the way it looked. The younger version of me loved weird colors that were not just...
It will depend on the board you have. As an example. Some of the Intel boards like the Asus Gaming z790 board, your Top most full length PCIe slot only shares with the PCIe 5 M.2 that is directly above it. So if you run a M.2 drive off that slot, it will split that 16x PCIE 5 lane into 2 8x...
Reminds me of when Kyle called out Jays2Cents, basically told the guy how can we trust anything you say when you don't know how to install Windows correctly. Linus is the same way... Dude poorly handles expensive tech like a rich kid handles daddies' money. Then grifts whatever brand he needs to...
Also, that CPU cooler came out in 2019. I don't know how long you've had it, or if its from an old build, but in my experience the shelf life on those things is barely 2 years before the plastic pumps start to gunk up and shit out. Also the fluid levels in those is notoriously low, so if you...
Well that's just it, under load my overall voltages drop down to around 1.27~ which is kind of what I was trying to explain. Only I did it poorly because it would require quite a bit of time. But in essence. Each chip has a boost voltage curve. In adaptive mode, the vf curve is basically...
You are kind of thinking of old monolithic CPU's. Newer CPU's are all about total watt draw. Their power delivery ect. are totally different. Its not RAW voltage in anymore. My CPU sits at 1.4~ volts 5.7ghz just chilling in windows at 29c. Its because the voltage can stay high, to maintain...
I believe that you stop seeing improved FPS at around 5.7ghz. At least based on my testing with my 13700k. I am working on figuring out what RAM speed and timings gives the best latency for the best FPS. It would seem 7200mhz + around cl32/34 with tighter timings is a small bump. But I am having...
Your issue sounds related to PCIe lane Sharing with regard to your nvme drives. I would try just one single drive in Slot 1 and see if the issue persists. If not, add the 2nd ect. Also for the Slow boot, you cannot fix this. DDR5 has to "Relearn" its timings with the memory controller every time...
I like that tool but now it seems everytime I run it I get totally different results. It gets you close though. I suppose it could also be that I am running it after updates.
Also as a quick aside, you can probably Push TDC/EDC to 240 based on those numbers im seeing. But that's up to you if you wanna try and push harder. You can even keep raising your Curve optimizer offset, my fear is you have 2 ragged cores, Core 3 and Core 5 will be your limiters. So if you wanna...
This is where I am sitting with just minor PBO tweaks. What I have noticed, is if you set some of your PBO settings too high like EDC, PPT they will "Bug" and your chip will just not preform. Try THM Limit of 90, TDC 210, EDC 215, and PPT 500. PPT is way higher than it needs to be, BUT I have...
