Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
do you disagree with the proper definition of "footprint"
sure its no big deal to mess up terminology when dealing with a piece of consumer electronic equipment sold to neophytes and hobbyists... but if I were speccing out industrial machinery and had a poor understanding of the terminology...
I didn't have to remove the DVD rom to add RAM. I had already removed the media drive cage, so i can't really say whether it would have gotten in the way, but i suspect so.
Unless you have arthritus or very large hands, you should be able to get in there fairly easily with the cage out of...
It wouldn't be inaccurate to say that only about half of the posters here actually understand the term "footprint"
its a well defined piece of terminology. As was said - it's referring to the area of desk space. Area is also clearly defined as L x W. to use the term outside of these...
Temps sound okay to me. With x2's, i don't start getting nervous until 60+C. thermal protection shutdown is typically 73C, and the chip damage threshold is typically mid-high 70's.
all I can say is good riddance, and i hope no one here gets screwed. I gave up on MIR a long time ago - my time is worth more to me than the paltry amounts saved, and the hassle.
which vista updates? More than once i've had an "update" go wrong with a microsoft product.. I now run them manually, downloading the ditribution files, rather than using auto update.
Does it POST? if you mean you're not getting any video whatsoever, remove your vidcard, and try booting...
flemmyd - by "customers" they mean the companies running the rebates on items.. not you. you're a customer of company xyz. CPG's customers are HP, Logitech, etc etc...
MIR's suck. though I've never been ripped off on one, I've had to go through inordinate amounts of energy keeping track of it all, chasing down the rebates, calling a million 800 numbers and getting bounced around... its such a racket. The fact that the expected redemption is often less than...
megapixels don't mean crap. Until i got my SLR - the best camera I ever had was a sub 2 megapixel mavica with a large CCD.
The CCD is the optical capture part of a digital camera. all the MP's in the world won't help an ultra-small CCD. the larger the CCD, the better the clarity at ALL...
XM should have purchased sirius for its coverage, and thats it. The programming sucked in comparison.
Moot point however, except maybe for rural areas. HD radio in populated areas offers enough programming to keep most people happy, and it's free, assuming you have the hardware.
the "exploited" in these cases are hardly being exploited. They enable an atmosphere of casual acceptance of such practices by providing easy and accessible services.
That doesn't remove our responsibility to give more of a crap... but I wouldn't call this exploitation, really.
Our...
