    Two different brands?

Hi f1y, Thanks for the speedy reply Just so I understand correctly. The dual channel wouldn't work because I'm installing a different type of RAM or it wouldn't work because dual channel only works when you have no more than 2 DIMM? Thanks!

    Two different brands?

Hi, I currently have this memory kit (G.SKILL F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 240PIN Dual Channel) installed on my computer and was considering purchasing this to go along with it (OCZ Gold XTC PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB DDR2-800 CL5-5-5-12 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory)...

    Headphone output boost?

My mistake ...they're Sennheiser PX100 I tried many different types and they all had the pretty much the same output level so i didn't think it had anything to do with the headphones. @Fryguy8 What type of headphones do you use?

    Headphone output boost?

Hi, How can i get my headphones to deliver more volume? I can't seem to get decent ear bursting output from my current audio setup Using 680i's onboard Realtek 7.1 HD audio but still need to have the volume cranked up to the max in order to get semi-decent volume. Is this normal and...

    First build ...need advice

So far what I found would cost me a bit more than the ASUS. (I live in Montreal, Canada) But that's not to say I'm not going to go with the EVGA anyway. Actually, the reason I chose the Thermaltake was for the noise level. It has a 140mm fan which is bound to be quieter than any 120mm. Noise...

    First build ...need advice

Thanks everyone By assembling my own system I'm able to save approximately $300/CAN (online deals from canadacomputers.com and ncix.com) So now I can afford to go with E6600 instead of the E6400 and still save money Great stuff! Thanks for your time

    First build ...need advice

Hi, I’m looking into the possibility of assembling my own computer and was wondering how much of a hassle it would be for the average Joe (me) to put together this rig (below). I have a little experience in adding and removing parts such as Memory, HDD, Power Supplies and Video Cards but...

    New computer suggestions

Thanks guys After taking your suggestions into account I decided to go with this setup: Case: ANTEC SONATA II BLACK 450W (with different PSU to support SLI) Mobo: ASUS P5N32-E SLI NF680i (Is this overkill?) Processor: C2D E6400 or E6600 (Not sure if it’s worth the extra $$ for now)...

    New computer suggestions

Hi, I'm looking to change my computer to something more graphics friendly. I use 3dsMax and do some gaming (RTS, FPS and Role Playing). I was told that this configuration (see below) was a good choice but I'm not convinced. I'm open to suggestions in the $2000/Cdn range (approx...
