I'm in the same boat. I eventually just settled on the U2211H - after awhile you get used to it and you hardly notice it.
Also - keep in mind, you get what you pay for here - it's an IPS panel for $237.00. The colors are worth it imo.
FYI - the U2311H won't ship for a month.
According to http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/panelsearch.htm these two monitors use the same exact panel (LM215WF2).
But I thought the HP uses an S-IPS panel and the Dell uses a e-IPS panel? Are they the same? What I am missing here?
Amazon also claims that the HP uses that model number panel -...
I was hoping someone could comment a bit more on the AG Coating??
Right now I have a Dell SP2309W and it's nice to have no graininess but it's almost too much monitor for me (from where I am sitting). And I am having a hard time going back to this TN panel.
Thanks
Appreciate the response - it only really bothers me when I see white or light colors. Dell is sending me a replacement - but, like you said, it'll probably have the same effect.
It's weird that the people I have asked about the U2311H say there is almost no graininess though. Idk - we'll see
That's exactly what it's like. Does the intensity of the anti-glare treatment vary from panel to panel? And is there anything I can do about it?
People with U2311H are reporting none to a small amount of graininess - I might just have to go with that.
Thanks
Has anyone else noticed this yet?
I just got mine today and it was one of the first things I noticed. The darker colors look amazing, but the lighter ones, especially the whites don't look so good - they almost look gray.
After an hour on the phone with Dell I finally got them to send me...
