Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
My boot partition is at 100% and I need to expand it. It is running in ESXi and I have added more space to it.
There is no free space (or anything significant) between the boot partition and the extended partition. Using GParted, I am unable to move the extended partition. Any suggestions...
It is on the same machine. Does OmniOS support rsync? Does zfs send / zfs support increasing the size of an array (ie. going from a vdev of 2 4TB drives to a vdev of 6 8TB drives)?
I have a zfs pool on a 2x4TB mirror that I want to move to a new 6x8TB raidz2 array. What is the best way to move the data from the first to second array? I have just used "cp" in the past but that seems to leave me with fragmentation >24%.
For security, I have MAC filtering on the main router/firewall, combined with further filtering on the SAN/NAS VM. That should be good enough for now.
I reset the ACL to modify, with recursion. I still cannot mount the NFS share on linux or windows.
I resolved my CIFS/SMB issue, but NFS is still my preferred method.
When I set NFS to on, and attempt to set "everyone@=modify" under the ACL on folders page, I get a warning message "chown: WARNING: can't access torrent/complete".
Permissions at that mountpoint are 777+. 777 is not...
I am having a problem using NFS and to a lesser degree SMB/CIFS.
NFS:
I have NFS enabled via napp-it using <rw=@192.168.1.0/24 torrent/complete>. I am not able to connect from windows or linux machines.
CIFS/CMB
I have SMB enabled via napp-it as well. I am able to connect via windows and...
I got 3 more HGST hard drives in. All drives sound good. In the SAS BHA menu, I did 2 verify cycles and a format on the first drive, just like the previous failed drive. They all passed. I then attempted to do one more verify cycle of the the format, but it failed. What could be causing the...
I have a brand new HGST SAS drive that is not coming online after running a few verify cycles via the HBA and has the occasional chirp. I get over 250 hard errors in a hour. Any thoughts?

I am running OmniOS r15014. I want to run my ZFS storage pool plan by someone before setting them up and getting too far in. Do you see any problems or mistakes? I kept the pool and disk names generic. NFS and SMB shares will be enabled at some point.

Currently 1 disk, eventually 2 disks...
You can gain root access to most mobile phones via baseband attacks (AT and provisioning commands). The best one takes advantage of architectures where the baseband processor shares memory with phone's OS. iOS devices, BB10 devices and even Windows phones are vulnerable. It all depends on the...
I am not able to install the SSO as one of the components requires Windows Server 2008 or newer (running W7). That means I cannot install the web client from 5.5. That being said, if I try to create a version 9+ vm on my server, which is running ESXi 6.0, by using the thick client, will I...
I am having trouble finding vSphere Web Client 6.0. The vServer install has the standard client only. Any idea where to find it? I am getting a warning message that I need to use the web client in order to create a virtual machine with version 9+.
