Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately when I went to the store they were out of the TX line, so I ended up with the Antec Earthwatts 650 instead. Newegg reviews seem pretty positive on the antec and since i'm not overclocking anything I'm confident this PSU will be fine. Should I run into...
I've been out of the loop for a long while and just found myself a deal on a radeon 4870 video card to upgrade from my on-board ATI (3200?).
In any case, my PSU is the enermax 465P and it lacks the correct 2x6-pin cables needed for the video card. Should I just go out any buy some 2x4pin ->...
Well from what ive read, most people who buy quality 965 boards or the 680i's tend to get >350 fsb, so by comparison the asrock isnt a very good overclocker anyhow.
Nonetheless, I never expected anything higher than stock anyways so I was *quite* pleasantly surprised with the near 50% overclock.
Welp, the thing is orthos 8hr stable at fsb 298 (2.99ghz) but will not boot at all at 3.0 ghz. But since I dont need it running at that speed i brought it down to 290fsb. Idles at 45C and load at 65C according to Coretemp. Awsome chip!.
Interesting to know. I'm not really sure how much higher I can go at 4:3 since my ram is specced at 217 mhz. But now that I know someone else that has gone higher then I gotta give it a shot too.
Really? A 291 wall? Hah, i lucked out. I just bought the e4400 and asrock 4coredual-vsta. I'm adding on some 2x1GB OCZ PC3500 EB ram and an ATI radeon X800XL. I installed the motherboard, re-installed windows and just set it to 290. BAM, works like a charm. whodathunkit, a 45% overclock on a...
Hello, I recently upgraded to an Asrock 4coredual-vsta with an e4400. I heard that these processors have speedstep and can lower their multipliers depending on load. Well, I for the love of all that is holy and sane cannot find that option in the bios settings, and my multiplier never wavers...
perhaps when some company releases a large 'gamer' LCD it may come in a glossy finish, but for now, demand for that type of product is relatively low considering its intended audience.
Glare is a significant issue when it comes to those clearview screens. I have both, a sony clearview screen 13" and a dell 2405 matte screen. I can tell you that although the sony looks more vivid (the correct word would be awsomeness), glare would be a detracting feature on larger screens. If...
You'd be surprised how many times that fixes the problem. I gave the benefit of the doubt once when I was troubleshooting a network problem over the phone, and I wasted 30 mins because the customer actually unplugged her ethernet cable before calling.
but back OT. I'm really sorry for your...
I hope things work out for you eventually. I read somewhere that someone had the same problem as you. He fixed the problem by swapping out his RAM for something else and it worked fine. If you have that kind of resources maybe you could give that a try. Otherwise I hope you have the best of luck...
