well it's that time of the year again upgrade time!! i'm an amd fan (opty 165-2.7) and i would like to stay with amd but all they have out is the 65nm chip and it does not show much improvment. so i'm torn between amd and intel. i love my opty but i need more should i wait on amd or should...

would ether of thous board be good for overclocking???

i don't know much about the X2's but my 165 can do 2.7 ghz 1.4 vcore with no probs

opty for sure the chips are very solid.u should get atleast 2.6. don't go quad core unless u have unlimited money . software is slowly catching up with dual core but it will probaly be several years before they can optimize quad core. just my $.02

i have a opty 165 and the 9500led cooler idle 28 load 42 (2.6ghz 1.4 volts)

speed fan works ok but the best way is in the bios jmho

i'm sure build 6000 rtm all versions basic home ultimate bussness 64\32 bit all on the one disk that i have. unless they are planning on changing it in the future

bittornado works on all the builds. just my .02

the key for beta 2 and rc1 works for rc2. if u don't have a key for beta 2 or rc1 i'm not sure where u will get one.

just a update changed Vax347b.sys Vax347s.sys to.bak that let me back in could not uninstall cause it was being blocked by vista so i just deleted the program files then changed .bak back to .sys and so far everything is ok thanks for the help

i found Vax347b and Vax347s in \Windows\System32\drivers is that what ur talking about??
