I don't think so; the specs ASRock lists for that board say nothing about the mini-PCIe slot doubling as an mSATA slot.
mSATA has mostly fallen out of fashion; it's been replaced by the M.2 standard.
That board has four SATA ports, though; if you're just planning on two HDDs in RAID, you could...
I totally missed that.
Odd... I've been intermittently combing Google searches for interesting Mini ITX cases for some years; and I'm just seeing this pop up now. My guess is Coolerguys got ahold of some old stock from overseas and this might not have been generally available in the US when it...
Has anyone tried either of these?
Spire Powercube 501
Spire Powercube 502
It looks like the only difference between these is the front panel. They seem to be a little smaller than the Lian Li Q21; but with the major downside of having only a single low-profile slot rather than two...
Anyone have experience with the Zotac H87ITX-A-E? It appears to be crammed with features, especially for an H87 board: DisplayPort, dual ethernet, mSATA. And it can be had for under $100. On paper, it looks like a great option for those uninterested in over clocking.
I've gone ahead and...
LSI 9286-8e
I think it might have been okay with passive cooling if the area where the card goes were better ventilated. But the ventilation in that compartment is terrible.
The main things I don't like about the ISK 310 are the internal PSU and the space for the various drivesnone of which...
I like your design a lot; but I'd really prefer an opportunity for better cooling below the expansion card slot.
My interest is in a case for a machine with a RAID card. These cards can run pretty warm; warmer than I anticipated when planning the build in a Morex T3460 case (which turns out...
If you really want to go the external power brick route, Morex has some cases that would fit the bill:
T3460
2757 (or really any case in the 27xx series)
There's also the Silverstone LC19 or ML02. These cases generally employ a riser card and you may need to be able to attach a...
Ouch. That's not what I wanted to hear. :(
I am looking to build a lower-power setup: something powered by a 150W supply at most; ideally 120W. I won't be overclocking. I was hoping to use this board with a 65W CPU, a mSATA SSD, and a slim ODD. But it sounds like that would be pushing things...
Does anyone have a good idea of the power draw of this motherboard (Z68ITX-B-E), including the onboard GPU? I'm wondering how much of a power supply it's going to need. I checked the manual for the board, but I couldn't find a recommended minimum power supply.
And, yet, the NSK1480 still has some of the best attention to cooling for a case in that form factor.
I think what you're looking for doesn't existat least in the low-profile PCI slot form factor. I think your best bet is to look for a case that accommodates a riser card and a full-height...
What CPU are you planning on using? If not an i7 9xx, you could use a Corsair H50 in the SG03. I don't recommend this for an X58 motherboard because using the H50 leaves the air around the chipset too stagnant (and you don't have many other options for moving air in this case). But for an i5 or...
