Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I was in the Adobe forums and an Adobe guy posted that CS5 will need a minimum of a GTX285 hope that helps

What software are you using? Some software is begining to use the GPU but most video edit programs do not. If you are using Adobe it was recently posted on their forum that the upcoming CS5 wil use it heavily and the GTX285 is the least expensive card that will be supported. Most programs that...
I just got one of these for my video editing box best deal I saw: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/BFG+-+NVIDIA+GeForce+GTX+285+OC+1GB+GDDR3+PCI+Express+Graphics+Card/9230049.p?id=1218063557108&skuId=9230049&st=gtx285&cp=1&lp=1

Thanks for the help guys, I was poking around in the adobe forums and an adobe employee posted to get a least a gtx285 since this is the "least expensive" card they are going to support with the next release. So I am going to bite the bullet and snag one of those. Any suggestions?

I am not a gamer just video editing (CS4) and Cuda has proven to be a help or the ATI would already be on the way. I just cannot justify the cost of a GTX285 and the 295 is massive overkill.
Mike
Putting together a video editing rig and using some apps that are cuda enabled. It looks like a GTX275 might be perfect for me, I like the MSI one with the nice cooling but cannot seem to find one anywhere. Anybody know a reputable dealer that has those or a good alternative?
Thanks,
Mike
I did consider a Mac and even a Hackintosh set up. I already have CS4 for windows and Sony Vegas, so I would rater not buy them again. I will be doing AVCHD and blu ray. Building a high power PC may allow the Hackintosh solution if windows does not work out.
thanks,
Mike
Going to build a rig with the main intent to be video editing, needs lots of horsepower and memory so I7 and 12 gigs of memory, windows 7, have not built a pc in a while and am a bit confused about these new baords. No gaming will be done, stabilty is the main concern and speed is very...
Just ordered the Sapphire AM690 board and a X2 5200. This is for a HTPC box, no gaming, no OC, Putting in a microfly case so I need low profile, quite heatsink and fan, any suggestions? Blue Orb looks like my only real option that I see
