iPhone not top dog in 2013 ? Android + Windows gaining.

I think this year more than ever before the heat is on Apple. You have what seems to me more advertising for Android devices and Windows, you have Samsumg with two of the hottest devices right now the GS3 and Note2 and Google just releases three new Nexus devices just in time for Christmas...

iPhone not top dog in 2013 ? Android + Windows gaining.

It's nice to have competition it creates ebb and flow. With that said I remember when Apple was significant enough in the creative world and made a blip in the home pc world. Then the 90's came and they went quite. Then the iPod and iPhone with their sleek designs and simple UI enabled the...

Voodoo PC or Biohazard PC reviews?

My case was detailed in depth here and in pm's with Chris. I'm curious, are there ethical issues beyond what I found or are they the same?

Voodoo PC or Biohazard PC reviews?

Its one thing to pay more for cutomer service its another to get reamed in the a$$. I have gone through and have done side by side rigs on VooDoo, Maingear, VM and many others and VooDoo comes out almost 2-3 times the price. For what?!?! A paintjob?!?!? Hell if I want customer service...

More technical data, some insight, more history (yep both are waiting on the porn industry again) and a third competitor  ?! http://news.softpedia.com/news/The-chronicles-of-a-futile-battle-Blu-Ray-vs-HD-DVD-631.shtml

    Blue-Ray and HD-DVD..

Close attention to what? I have heard all the arguments for and against Blu Ray and HDDVD. In the end we'll just see who shakes out to be the winner. The group supporting Blu Ray is far larger than that of HDDVD (from CES in January and reiterated in a WSJ article last week); Blu Ray...

    Blue-Ray and HD-DVD..

Blu-ray all the way baby....hddvd can go jump off a cliff. Of course Sony's history of format wars has always been a losing one. Usually the Sony format ends up being for television, audio and film pros.

    buying cell phone service?

I'll agree, ASK AROUND. Depending on where you are depends on the quality of coverage you get. I don't agree with asking the salesman at the local store because they are always going to say they have better service. My experience; My wife and I had Cingular for 5 years and the switched to...

Dell Strikes Back - editorial @ [H] Consumer

As somebody who has purchaced a few Dells in the past I am not a fan of thier scripted and very poor overseas tech support. Mr. Dell says he is passionate?! Please spare us as his companies tech support and labor practices (see Rip-Off Report among the many forums and news agencies) are sub...

    Monarch Furia @ [H] Consumer

Reseller Ratings was brought up so here goes... If you head over to the forums why is it that some of these boutique companies try and bribe, threaten, lie and steal to get good reviews? It wasn't too long ago that customers were writing about Monarch and others accusing the OEM's of leaving...

Camcorders: Off topic, but help appreciated.

I'll agree with what Chris said, MiniDV is the way to go. Here at FPP, LLc we use full size DVCAM tape and cameras (Sony) and while MiniDV is a slight downgrade in quality it is still one of the best consumer formats out there.

    Hypersonic Aviator CX7 laptop @ [H] Consumer

Timba, Whats interesting is that you mention multiple MB replacements. I had the same experience but with Widow PC. I wonder if it is just Sagar/Clevo?! Long story short, my experiences reflect the ones you had with Hyper but slightly worse. Mine is used for business as well and the last...

wondering what you fine folks think of these OEMs (not Cyberpower :P)

Vicious gets ok marks at Reseller Ratings. Vigor Gaming www.vigorgaming.com gets much better reviews. Problem is there is a sea of niche gaming computer companies. I would go with boxxtech or maingear.

Almost Time For A New Computer, Sick of Home Builds

Tried to configure camparative systems between boxx and FNW. FNW comes out 500.00 more than boxx. Of course they use differnet lines of graphics cards and such but still the boxx is aimed at pros like yourself and for 500 less your getting, from what I have read and people I talk to, an...
