I'd dare say 3rd is most likely the reason.. (r)etailers don't typically do things simply our of being nice or "morals" or grew a backbone.

yet again more proof of people who either have limited or no experience in retail/inventory management. When a (r)etailer receives shipment, the parts are sku'd by the manu. Newegg is charging nearly $100 (ok $90) over mrsp for a reference / black bundle sku.

Nothing from that (r)etailer mentions ANYTHING about a price increase of standalone, nor of a rebate on standalone cars... again.. NOTHING in there about the stand alones being part of a rebate program.. the ONLY thing the etailer is confirming is the limited availability of the standalone...

Best Buy, that's very true.. to a fault, they pretty much stick to MSRP unless they have a sale or a product in on clearance. Was just at BB literally an hour ago and had an 1080 FE on the shelf for $699.99. Edit: Yep just checked Newegg.. nearly $100 over MSRP for SAPPHIRE 100410L .. call it...

They include the games as part of the Black Pack. The Silver (limited edition) card is ONLY available in the pack, where as the reference (black) is part of either the Pack (at same cost of LE) or as a stand alone (no games). I honestly don't know how people have such a hard time understanding...

Slight correction .. all those extra transistors go towards raising the clock speed...other thing Vega adds is more compute functions..AND doubled sram caches, to OVER 45MB total (unless people actually think doing so is "free" and uses no transistors)
