Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've looked at the PC-Q08 and compared it to the Chenbro (found that one via mini-itx.com). The Chenbro is smaller which is a huge ++ in my book, so I'm thinking of going with the Chenbro.
Wow, those are at least twice the price of the stuff I was looking at. Supermicro is a good brand though, unlike the Jetway or ZOTAC unknowns. Thanks for the heads up for looking in the server section. Didn't think to look there.
I actually prefer the lower power VIA processors because it truly is low power and passively cooled, but I'm not hard on that. I also need at least 5 SATA ports. There's like one Mini-ITX board at Newegg, which is a LGA 775 board. I know more than the few boards newegg has in this form factor...
Hi all,
I'm building a NAS with pretty specific requirements, but I'm having huge trouble finding a site that makes it easy to drill down into motherboards/cases/etc that fit them, a la Newegg.
Alas, Newegg's selection sucks for the mini-itx form factor, so I'm hoping you guys have some...
For those with the HAF 922, are the expansion card slot covers replacable? Like if I take them out, can I screw them back in? On some cases, those covers are the kind where you bend em back and forth to take em out and then you cant put them back.
Yeah, toolless doesn't matter too much to me. I always have a screwdriver on hand and it means less proprietary crap to buy. I like the Element S because it has no dumb LEDs on it and I like it's understated Lian Li like looks.
My only fear is that the 5970 (an inch longer than your 5870) won't...
Hi all, long time lurker here.
I'm looking for a mid tower case that is on the small and light side, but has great cable management for better airflow. The only cable management "innovation" that I've seen is cable routing holes. If there are any others, please let me know.
So I'm looking for...
I was actually thinking about putting my swap space on there or maybe by non /home directories on there, probably /etc or /root. I guess if they're slow, putting /var or /lib on there isn't the best idea.
Hi, not sure if this is the right forum, but mods, please move as you wish.
My Lenovo T61p has a Intel Turbo Memory card I'm not using right now because I'm using Linux, so I was thinking of taking it out and putting something else in there.
The Intel Turbo Memory card fits in a mini-PCIe...
I've been looking at this board for a NAS/HTPC build I want to do soon, and I found pre-order info here: http://www.mini-itx.com/store/?c=53
I wish the version with the N330 were fanless.
The included PSU on the N330 is just 90W power brick. I'm not sure how it could cope with 3x3.5"...
